Man Breaks into Homes by Biting through Steel Bars

A man in the Nanjimen region, Chongqing, has broken into and burglarized numerous homes over the past 2 years by biting through the steel security bars on the windows.

Police investigations into several mysterious break-ins in the area led them to 23 year old Xiong, an unemployed man who confessed to the crimes when questioned. Xiong said that he grew up in a remote area where he had sharpened his teeth and strengthened his jaw by cracking open walnuts with his teeth.

Xiong says he can’t even remember how many homes he’s burglarized because there are so many.

Police were puzzled with the break-ins because the homes all had steel security bars on the windows to deter crime, but the bars were broken and had what appearede to be teeth marks on them. Xiong says that one of the reasons he was never caught is because he never took any other tools with him, so police never had a reason to suspect he was the burglar.
