Louis Tomlinson Set To Make Christmas Magic With Charity Effort

As any One Direction fan knows, Louis Tomlinson and his bandmates are massive supporters of a wide range of charitable causes. Louis is especially supportive of charities for children. Tomlinson has provided his backing to a range of children’s charities, including the Eden Dora Trust, which helps children with encephalitis or acquired brain injury. Louis seems to be especially fond of Believe in Magic, a U.K.-based children’s charity that works to bring a little magic into the lives of children with terminal or serious illnesses.

Back in August, Louis hosted a special Cinderella ball as a fundraiser for Believe in Magic. At the time, the Mirror reported that Tomlinson donated $3 million of his own money to support the cause, an incredibly generous gesture. Louis’ efforts did not end there. Tomlinson got bandmate Liam Payne involved in the evening, and Liam showed his own generosity by paying $75,000 to have his face painted. Louis’ bandmates Niall Horan and Harry Styles also donated items to a charity auction. It was widely reported that Louis helped the charity to raise some $7.5 million.

If you needed any convincing of how much Louis’ efforts are appreciated by the children involved, OK! Magazine captured it by quoting one mother who thanked Tomlinson for dancing with her little girl at the event.

“I wanted to thank Louis for dancing with my daughter, because she’ll never arrive at her own wedding.”

Unreality TV reports that Tomlinson and the rest of One Direction have stepped up to the plate in support of Believe in Magic once more. Louis has teamed up with Prizeo to offer fans an exclusive range of One Direction-themed items in exchange for a donation to the charity. Louis even recorded a short video to raise awareness of this latest charitable effort.

One lucky winner will be chosen at random to win the chance to be flown from anywhere in the world with a friend and guardian to meet Louis and the rest of One Direction at a secret location in London. Louis said Believe in Magic is a charity that is very close to his heart. Louis also revealed that he and the rest of One Direction have been involved with the charity for as long as the band has been together.

With Louis’ support, this campaign has raised almost $200,000 already, and as Louis tweeted yesterday, it still has a few days to run.

On the fundraising page, Believe in Magic thanked Louis and all of One Direction for their incredible support, but they reserved special thanks for Tomlinson and his mother, Johannah.

“A Huge Thank You to them all as well as their wonderful families, with an extra special ‘Thank You’ to the lovely Louis Tomlinson and his lovely Mum Johannah for their exceptional kindness and the pure magic they both help to make.”

Of course, without the support of One Direction fans, Louis’ efforts would come to nothing, a fact not lost on Believe in Magic, who thanked the “1D family” for helping to make Believe in Magic one of the U.K.’s fastest growing charities.

Louis has been busy warning fans that they only have a couple of days left to make a donation and have a chance to meet Tomlinson and the rest of One Direction for what is sure to be a very special Christmas present for someone. Louis closes out his appeal by asking fans to spread awareness by tweeting the hashtag #1DBestChristmasEver.
