WWE News: Brock Lesnar Scheduled Back Very Soon, Could Win Royal Rumble Match?

WWE Superstar Brock Lesnar has had a very interesting 2015 thus far. He started out the year as the WWE World Heavyweight Champion and lost the title to Seth Rollins at WrestleMania 31 when he cashed in the Money in the Bank briefcase he won the year prior. He did not cash in on the champion being Lesnar. Rather, he cashed in on his opponent that night, Roman Reigns. Lesnar then took off a few months after being storyline suspended and had a rematch with Seth Rollins at WWE Battleground for the WWE World Title he never lost.

Right when he was nearing the victory, The Undertaker returned to take his revenge on the man who ended his streak the year prior at WrestleMania 30. The two then battled at WWE SummerSlam in a memorable match, ending with Undertaker low blowing Lesnar and putting him in the Hell’s Gate. Lesnar would not tap but would pass out, shooting the bird to Taker at the same time in defiant fashion.

He was able to get his revenge on The Deadman at Hell in a Cell, however, as he beat Undertaker in his match. We have not seen Lesnar since, but he is set to be back very soon. According to Cageside Seats, Brock Lesnar is expected back by the Slammy Awards event. That usually occurs in late December, before the WWE winter break. Lesnar probably will not work the WWE TLC PPV and might be back for this show to help set up his next storyline.

From all indications, Brock Lesnar is supposedly going to set up his next story through the Royal Rumble PPV. There are many things that are possible here. It all really hinges on WWE and what they plan to do for WrestleMania involving Roman Reigns. The Rumble winner will go on to face the WWE World Heavyweight Champion in the main event of WrestleMania 32. Reigns is set to be part of this match in any way.

He could either become WWE World Heavyweight Champion by the end of the Rumble PPV or he could win the Rumble PPV.

Due to the fact that The Rock is not able to work WrestleMania this year and since WWE wants to build Reigns, Lesnar vs Reigns could be the main event match yet again. This time in reverse order. Lesnar will most likely not walk in as champion this time, but could walk in as challenger by winning the Rumble match. His comeback around the Slammy Awards would be the perfect time to set this up.

If they do not go with this, WWE would set up another storyline through the Rumble event. However, all indications are that Lesnar will be entered into it instead of having another singles match. Since he does not have any title to defend and is pretty much a babyface at this point, WWE might be better off having him win the Rumble over Reigns, seeing as a recycled storyline from the year before would not settle well.

WWE has been teasing a Roman Reigns vs Brock Lesnar rematch by saying that he may now never know if he was better than Lesnar because Rollins cashed in his case before Roman could find out. Reigns was getting beaten badly by Lesnar but was managing to come back before the cash-in happened. There is a theory that WWE will go with this scenario now more than ever because so many of their stars are unavailable or out injured.

On top of this, with The Rock not being available, WWE now has a match needed for Lesnar. To WWE, this is the best idea. Things could change by then; however, what will not change is Brock Lesnar having something big storyline-wise coming out of the Rumble PPV.
