Matt LeBlanc Tweets Terrible Dad-Jokes While Fans Watch ‘Friends’ Thanksgiving Marathon

Matt LeBlanc is most well known to fans as Joey Tribbiani, the lovable guy from the TV sitcom Friends. Even though it has been many years since the show ended, fans are still devoted to it, so much so that TBS aired a Friends marathon on Thanksgiving Day that showed all nine of the famous (or infamous) Thanksgiving episodes, plus a few extras for good measure.

According to the Herald Dispatch, the top five Thanksgiving Friends episodes starring Matt LeBlanc and the rest of the cast include “The One With All the Thanksgivings,” “The One With Rachel’s Other Sister,” “The One With Chandler in a Box,” “The One With the Rumor,” and “The One Where Ross Gets High.”

According to MTV, Matt Leblanc recently had some fun with his walk down the Friends-giving memory lane with several Twitter posts that were fun and entertaining.

His first post was the classic photo of his head stuck in the turkey.

He followed that post with this one.

He also thanked fans for their continued support of the show during their Thanksgiving marathon.

Besides thanking fans for watching the Friends Thanksgiving Day marathon, what is Matt LeBlanc up to these days? Apparently not the reboot of Lost in Space, which began as a 1960s television show and was remade into a flop of a movie in 1998, one in which Matt LeBlanc starred. According to Cinema Blend, the show is coming back as a Netflix original, but not with Matt.

Of course, that doesn’t mean Matt LeBlanc has faded away since his days in Friends. At this year’s Emmy Awards, he was given his fourth nomination for his role in Showtime’s hit comedy, Episodes, in which he plays none other than Matt LeBlanc! Deadline reported last August that Matt doesn’t take much credit for his success in the role.

“First of all, it starts with the writing. I’m really proud of our writers, they were nominated as well, ’cause I really can’t take much credit for it. It really needs to start on the page. And the stories we tell are great stories, and the jokes are really funny, smart, and they have this way of writing — they can write a really poignant moment and undercut it with a toilet joke at the end that doesn’t feel like a cheap joke.”

He also spoke about how it is to play such a horrible version of himself.

“It’s funny, because a lot of people assume that it’s this tricky sort of thing to arrive at. And I don’t look at it as playing myself, I look at it as playing any other character. He just happens to be a lot like me and look a lot like me. In the beginning, that’s kind of how I started approaching it, but it got very weird very quickly, so I abandoned that approach. I thought, ‘I just need to look at it like any other character.’ Then it became easier for me to find the funny in it. And find the funny in his faults.”

It’s clear that Matt LeBlanc is an incredibly talented actor, who can play completely fictional characters, but can also nail a fictional version of himself with an Emmy nomination-worthy performance four years in a row. It’s pretty safe to say that when he is done with Episodes, there will be something equally challenging and rewarding for him to sink his teeth into. After all, fans will want to see more of the talented Matt LeBlanc.
