Lamar Odom Questionable Mental State, Damaged Cognitive Abilities Lead To Avoidance Of Drug Charges
Lamar Odom probably won’t face any legal repercussions for cocaine possession. Although it’s no secret a cocaine overdose at a legal brothel is what led to his recent brush with death, he still won’t face felony charges for possession of illegal drugs. But, why?
While most people would think Lamar Odom’s celebrity status played a part in Nye County prosecutors’ decision to refrain from filing charges, apparently there’s a much more serious reason behind the decision. According to Celebuzz, Lamar’s questionable mental state and damaged cognitive abilities are the reason why charges have not been brought against him. Specific details about Lamar Odom’s health have not been released, but Khloe Kardashian has stated that “cognitively, he has a long road to recovery ahead.”

As previously reported on Inquisitr, Khloe stopped by The Ellen DeGeneres Show, where she openly discussed Lamar Odom’s health status. The Keeping Up With the Kardashians star revealed Lamar Odom has no clue why he’s been hospitalized, and she has not even told him what happened because he can’t process the series of events that have occurred.
“Well I can’t … we tell him he had a brain injury. But I can’t tell him how that brain injury was caused because it will set him back. He couldn’t put a lot of words together today. But he understands,” she explained and described his struggles. “He’s really confused a lot. We have to remind him. Sometimes he knows who the president is. He thinks he’s 26. I say ‘I bet you wish you were 26, so do I.’ ”
There are a number of factors that contributed to Lamar Odom’s injuries and he’s actually very lucky to have survived the ordeal. It’s still unclear how long he was unconscious inside the Love Ranch in Las Vegas before being found.

Reports Lamar Odom’s possible cocaine possession charges follow a bombshell report about Khloe Kardashian. Although she’s been extremely supportive of Lamar during this difficult time, she’s still been criticized by social media users, who believe it’s inappropriate for her to date James Harden since she decided to halt her divorce, according to AOL.com.
“You can’t be with Harden and still be married fam, gotta chose one,” a Twitter user wrote.
“For better or worse sickness and health till death do them part. I’m with you she needs to pick one or the ou,” replied another.
Needless to say, the criticism infuriated Khloe. Khloe definitely didn’t appreciate being judged since she didn’t exactly create their marital problems. So, she took to Twitter with a colorful response to the critics. She made it clear that Lamar Odom did not honor his vows and that she is still doing her part despite all he’s done.
“Divorce is still going forward. Doesn’t mean I won’t be there through sickness and health. I’ve proven that… You should have said those to the man who went against all our vows. Judge yourself. F**k off… Ummmmm how does that look good in the media?… He wasn’t picking roses my friend. Get off my d***.”
So, even though Khloe is supporting Lamar Odom, the two will still be divorcing sometime in the near future.
