Louis Tomlinson: One Direction Fans Trend ‘Fake’ Relationship Hashtag

One Direction star Louis Tomlinson is mooted to become the first of the fab-four to become a father. Back in July, rumors began to circulate that Louis was set to have a child with L.A. stylist Briana Jungwirth. As previously reported in the Inquisitr, Tomlinson confirmed the rumors early in August. Tomlinson and his band-mates were appearing on Good Morning America when Louis was asked about baby Tomlinson. Louis confirmed that he was to become a father, and said he was excited about becoming a dad.

Since then, Louis’ silence about Briana and baby Tomlinson has been deafening. During the latter part of this summer, rumors circulated claiming that Louis was intent on moving to L.A. to be near Briana and baby Tomlinson. A number of reports emerged claiming that “an unnamed source close to One Direction” had said that Louis intends to be fully involved in raising baby Tomlinson. As reported in the Inquisitr, it was even rumored that Louis and Briana had sneaked off to Las Vegas and married.

Many One Direction fans have never believed that Louis and Briana were having a baby. Some believe that Briana is not pregnant. Others think that Briana is pregnant, but that Louis is not the father, and another group believe that the pregnancy story is a front dreamt up by Tomlinson’s management team to cover up the gay relationship between Louis and bandmate Harry Styles. Some One Direction fans believe that Briana is a surrogate mother enabling Louis and Harry to have a child of their own.

There are many reasons for One Direction fans’ skepticism over Louis reported pregnancy story, not least the fact that when the story broke Briana categorically denied that she was pregnant.

Many of Tomlinson’s fans simply do not believe that they are being told the truth about Louis and Briana’s baby. As was recently reported in the Daily Mail, Briana did show up at a couple of Louis and One Direction’s concerts in London last month. Briana was photographed with Tomlinson’s mother and sister, but she has not been seen with Louis since the story broke.

As previously reported in the Inquisitr, the Sun reported that Tomlinson has banned journalists from talking about his baby on threat of interviews being ended or journalists being ejected. During the dozens of interviews that One Direction have undertaken since the release of their latest album, Louis has not been asked a single question about his impending fatherhood.

Put simply, many of Tomlinson’s fans are simply not buying the pregnancy story, especially after the Mirror reported last week that Louis had told Ellen Degeneres that he was “single with no commitments.” During the recent round of interviews, Tomlinson has talked about Zayn Malik leaving the band, his alleged drug use, and just about everything you could imagine except for baby Tomlinson.

A demonstration of the level of One Direction fans’ skepticism about the Tomlinson pregnancy story has emerged over this weekend, as fans used Twitter to trend the hashtag #BrouisIsFake. One Direction fans are renowned for their humor when things like this emerge, and as normal, hundreds of hilarious memes have been shared online, all pointing to the belief that Louis and Briana’s relationship is a fake one.

Tomlinson’s “Modest Management” team have been widely mocked, as many fans believe they have been responsible for shutting down Twitter accounts and websites that challenge the carefully manufactured public image of Tomlinson and his band-mates.

Away from the skepticism over Tomlinson’s baby, the Telegraph claims today that Louis wants the baby to be born in the U.S. but brought up in England. An unnamed One Direction “insider” claims that Louis has asked Briana to move to the U.K. when the baby is a few months old.
