The New York Giants must hold off a challenge to their NFC East first-place position from the Washington Redskins Sunday, and the game will be available to watch live online as a Washington victory would give both teams a sub-.500 record at 5-6, but would nonetheless drop New York into a tie for the division lead with their longtime rivals from the nation’s capital.
New York and Washington have already squared off once this season, in Week Three at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey, when the Giants won 32-21 as New York quarterback Eli Manning threw for a pair of touchdowns while his counterpart Kirk Cousins managed only one despite completing 30 of 49 pass attempts for 316 yards.
The Redskins took a beating last Sunday from the undefeated Carolina Panthers, 44-16, but have not lost a home game since their opening week loss to the Miami Dolphins. Beating the Giants this time around would give Washington their first five-game home winning streak in 24 years.
Their four-game home victory streak is already their longest in three years.

The Giants are coming off their bye week after dropping a last-second heartbreaker to the New England Patriots on a 54-yard field goal by Patriots kicker Stephen Gostkowski. After winning three games in a row in Weeks Three, Four and Five — including their win over Washington — the Giants have alternately lost and won each week since. If that pattern continues, they would be due for a win in Washington.

In the team’s five road games in 2015, Cousins has a posted a mediocre 69.8 rating with only five touchdowns against eight interceptions.
“When you play at home, it’s pretty common knowledge that you’re going to play better over the long haul,” Cousins said on Saturday. “Because its home, because you’re in a friendly environment, a familiar environment.”
