Coco Austin Gives Birth: Daughter Chanel Nicole Makes Social Media Debut

Law & Order: SVU star Ice-T and his wife, Nicole “Coco” Austin, have welcomed their first child — a baby girl named Chanel Nicole, born early Saturday morning in New Jersey. Austin shared a pic of baby Chanel on Instagram and Twitter, and according to the couple’s posts, she weighed 5.7 lbs and was 18 inches long.

“Surprise!!! Look who came early!! Welcome the new arrival of Chanel Nicole.. A beautiful healthy 5.7 pound and 18 inch baby girl,” Austin captioned an Instagram photo of her newborn.

“Ice and I are so proud! I cried while she was coming out I was so excited to meet her!” she added.

Ice-T posted the same photo, captioning it, “Ladies and Gentlemen! Please allow me to introduce to the World…. Baby Chanel 5.7 pounds. Love is Love.”

Austin is a first-time mom, and Ice-T has two grown children from two previous relationships, Tracy and Letesha, and a 20-year-old grandson, Elyjah.

36-year-old Coco was 37 weeks into her pregnancy when baby Chanel arrived today, and many accused her of either faking her pregnancy or using a surrogate because of the lack of a noticeable baby bump at the six-month mark. As E! Online notes, Austin denied such allegations and even created a blog to chronicle her pregnancy and fend off such allegations.

“I call it a lump because it’s not physically a bump because you have to push it out to see it,” she said.

During a visit to Andy Cohen’s clubhouse, she took an opportunity once more to squash the surrogate rumors.

“People think I’m having a surrogate because there is nothing there, but it is there, guys!,” she insisted, turning to the side to show her lump to the cameras.

Coco previously explained that her small middle was also due to healthy habits.

“I’m just eating really healthy! Look, fruit is key,” she told ET. “I’m not stressing. I really think it has to do with what you’re putting in your body.”

Ice and Coco married within two months after meeting in 2002 at a party, where he claims the first thing he noticed about her “was her teeth.”

“It was her teeth, they were the first things I saw,” he explains to Daily Mail in an exclusive interview. “And then I saw her boobs. And then,” he laughs,”when she turned around, that big butt,” the rapper-turned-actor elaborated.

“There was an instant physical attraction, but I was at a point in my life where I was ready to slow down. I wanted a partner. I wasn’t in a position to be dating a beautiful psychopath.”

Ice-T and Coco have been married for over a decade, and Coco has revealed that the key to their successful, drama-free marriage is that she’s submissive to her man.

“I think all women should do it,” she said before adding, “I’m a slave to him. I don’t mind.”

“By her choice! She likes that. She’s into that,” Ice-T clarified.

In addition to his veteran detective role on SVU, Ice-T, together with Coco, starred in a hit reality series for E! called, Ice Loves Coco, and this past summer, FOX tested a three-week run of their daytime talk show, Ice & Coco. The series is in talks to resume in 2016.

Now that Christmas has come early for the couple, maybe Coco can pig out (just a bit) on the junk food she was craving during her pregnancy, like Taco Bell, as NY Daily News notes.
