Jennifer Aniston Gets Cozy With Robert De Niro In 2016 Drama ‘The Comedian’

Jennifer Aniston is set to star alongside Robert De Niro in The Comedian, a drama directed by Taylor Hackford, as reported by Deadline.

The project, which has been a De Niro passion for years, will shoot early next year in New York. Art and John Linson will produce the movie with Cinelou’s Mark Canton and Courtney Solomon. Cinelou, which has already financed Jennifer Aniston’s 2014 movie Cake, is providing financial support for the De Niro project.

De Niro will be playing a famous Don Rickles-style insult comic. Jennifer Aniston meets his character at a wedding, and they start falling for one another, according to Deadline. It’s not the first time De Niro is going to be standing behind the stand-up microphone, as he already played the iconic stalker comedian Rupert Pupkin in The King of Comedy.

Jennifer Aniston’s new project is something De Niro and Linson have been working on for years, and the stand-up material was written by Friars Club and Comedy Central’s Jeffrey Ross.
De Niro has already starred in movies of Linson, who wrote the Hollywood-centric pic What Just Happened? and produced such movies as Heat, The Untouchables, and This Boy’s Life. Jennifer Aniston is currently shooting for The Yellow Birds and Mother’s Day, alongside Julia Roberts, both of which are scheduled to be released in 2016.

In other Jennifer Aniston news, Selena Gomez and Justin Bieber recently hinted that they could be getting back together when “the time is right,” and Jennifer Aniston thinks that the time has already come.

Jennifer Aniston said it when she was taking a selfie with Justin Bieber, who later shared it on Instagram, as reported by Hollywood Life.

The 46-year-old actress and the 21-year-old singer stumbled across one another behind the scenes of The Ellen DeGeneres Show. Jennifer Aniston and Justin Bieber may not have talked about Selena Gomez during their meeting, but apparently Jen approves their rekindled romance, a Hollywood Life source revealed.

“Jennifer thinks Justin is an absolute sweetheart. A doll. If Selena were to reunite with him in a serious relationship, she would most definitely give her and them as a couple her blessing.”

According to ET Online, Selena Gomez talked about her friendship with Jennifer Aniston during her radio interview with KTU.

“We met through my management — they manage her as well — so it was kind of like a friendly meeting and instantly she’s, like, inviting me to her house. She’s very cool and very sweet. She kind of gives me a lot of, like, maternal advice.”

So maybe one of Jennifer Aniston’s pieces of “maternal advice” given to Selena was to get back together with Justin after hearing his interview with Ellen DeGeneres?

If you are a Jennifer Aniston fan, then you’re probably also a Friends fan. But how big of a Friends fan are you?

True Friends fans with eagle eyes recently noticed scenes in which doubles for Jennifer Aniston and Courteney Cox were used, as reported by Daily Mail.

There were two scenes where people that have only a slight resemblance to the actresses pop up on screen.

Rachel, portrayed by Jennifer Aniston, is suddenly swapped with a woman who wears a completely different shirt in the scene where she was standing in the friends’ New York City apartment to the left of the screen.

Eagle-eyed fans also noticed Monica’s replacement, played by Courteney Cox. A woman with a completely different hairstyle appears on screen, sitting in the Central Perk coffee shop, having a conversation with Phoebe, played by Lisa Kudrow.
