‘Destiny’: Xur’s Exotic Goods For November 27, 4th Horseman Rides In For Black Friday
Xûr, Agent of the Nine, has returned to the Tower in Destiny just in time for Black Friday. There’s no special savings or deep discounts to be had for PlayStation and Xbox players, but there is an Exotic Shotgun that has not been sold previously along with some solid Exotic armor choices for Titans, Hunters, and Warlocks.
Those looking for Xûr should run straight ahead after spawning in the Tower toward the Vanguard Hall with Cayde-6, Ikora Rey, and Zavala. He is located to the right of the table that the three Vanguards are standing at, against the wall. Here’s where you can find him on the Tower map, just to be sure.
Xûr and his items will only be available in Destiny through the morning of Sunday, November 29. As soon as the clock strikes 5 a.m. ET / 2 a.m. PT, he will be gone.
The Exotic Shotgun, The 4th Horseman, is the big draw for Xûr this week even if it is at 280 Light. The previously PlayStation exclusive weapon can be devastating, though we’ll have to see how the upcoming weapon balance changes in the Destiny December update affect it.
The armor choices this week are solid, but not spectacular. Everything is a Year Two upgrade from Year One armor for the three Destiny Guardian classes.

For those wondering what to get, here are a few helpful hints.
The 4th Horseman
This is a high-risk/high-reward shotgun that fires in full auto mode extremely quickly, but requires players to be close to their target. This is, of course, dangerous in high-level PVE activities. It’s fun to use in PVP activities; although, it is hard to compete against Invective, which fires in full auto and has decent range. Still, this is a necessary pickup if you haven’t added it to your collection yet.Helm of Saint-14
The Helm of Saint-14 is still the go-to helmet for Defender Titans in Destiny. Its main draw is the “Starless Night” perk that blinds enemies that walk into the Ward of Dawn, which makes them extremely vulnerable. The benefit is greater in PVE than PVP, but it’s still useful in both situations. The perks give the choice between “Ashes to Assets” for bonus Super energy on Grenade kills and “Heavy Lifting” for bonus Super energy from Heavy Weapon kills. It also comes with the “Better Already” perk to regenerate shields immediately when picking up an orb.
The 88 Intellect for the Helm of Saint-14 is right where players want it. However, shoot for the “Inverse Shadow” and “Infusion” perks by using the Glass Needles for the optimal helm.
Crest of Alpha Lupi
Hunters that are team players will want the Crest of Alpha Lupi. The “Keeper of the Pack” perk makes reviving fallen teammates and being revived faster, which is perfect for Trials of Osiris and Elimination. It also causes Supers to generate an extra Orb, which is useful for the Orb-starved Gunslinger and Bladedancer sub-classes.The Crest of Alpha Lupi piece being sold in Destiny this weekend gives the choice between carrying extra Auto Rifle or Shotgun ammo and reducing Solar Burn damage or increased armor when using a Solar-based subclass.
The 65 Intellect/67 Strength stat roll is solid solid enough. Destiny players who want to use Glass Needles should aim for bonus armor for the sub-class of their choice and weapon of choice.
Light Beyond Nemesis
This helmet helped turn Warlocks into orb-generating machines in Destiny Year One. The Year Two versions continue producing extra orbs with the “Keeper of the Pack” perk, but not as many overall. It still excels in helping players revive teammates faster in PVP modes such as Elimination and Trials of Osiris. The default optional perks include the choice between bonus Super energy from melee kills or special weapon kills. Meanwhile, the “Invigoration” perk gives bonus melee energy on Orb pickups.
The 74 Intellect roll is excellent. Warlocks should pick this up if they don’t already have the Year Two version. Perks to target when using Glass Needles include “Inverse Shadow” and “Infusion.”
