Gwen Stefani Pregnant? ‘The Voice’ Ratings Plummet After Romance Reveal

Gwen Stefani continues to face rumors of a possible pregnancy as news of The Voice’s dwindling ratings hits the web. On November 26, Radar Online reported news of The Voice’s ratings drop, which reportedly occurred after Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton went public with their new romance.

Following a slew of PDA moments between Gwen Stefani and her co-stars, the NBC singing reality show has reportedly lost viewers, and Radar Online’s report seems to hint that the new relationship may be responsible for the show’s lackluster ratings. While many expected The Voice’s ratings to increase due to all the publicity surrounding the new couple, Gwen Stefani and Shelton’s romance appears to have had a negative impact on the show.

“The hit NBC show started the season off strong, winning the ratings war on Monday nights with the premiere episode pulling in 12.3 million viewers on September 21, 2015,” Radar Online explained. “The Voice numbers jumped to 12.06 million viewers for the November 2, 2015, show after Halloween, when Stefani and Shelton were spotted together at a Halloween party.”

Although the show saw an initial spike in ratings after news of Gwen Stefani’s romance began to swirl, things took a turn for the worse weeks after Gwen Stefani’s rep confirmed she and Shelton were dating in a statement to Us Weekly.

According to Nielsen ratings, via Radar Online, The Voice’s November 23 episode saw a season low with just 10.29 million viewers.

Gwen Stefani and Shelton’s romance has been highly publicized in the last few weeks, as have their splits from former partners Gavin Rossdale and Miranda Lambert, respectively. In July, Shelton and Lambert parted ways after four years of marriage, and in August, Gwen Stefani and Rossdale announced they were splitting up after 13 years of marriage and three children together.

In addition to the media attention regarding their relationship, Gwen Stefani and Shelton have also been targeted with rumors that claim Gwen Stefani is expecting a child. While Gossip Cop shot down the rumor weeks ago, the Franchise Herald shared a new report on November 25, which insisted Gwen Stefani was expecting and added that Lambert was “devastated” over the news.

On November 25, Hollywood Life offered an update on Gwen Stefani’s romance with Shelton, claiming the two often engaged in makeup sessions around the Universal Studios lot for The Voice.

“When they are not working on the show or are in their trailers, they walk around the Universal lot to pass the time and talk and just be a couple. With the stages immediately next to the Jurassic Park ride at Universal Studios they have found parts of the lot that they share a few kisses, and near the stages for The Voice is the Jurassic Park ride so its one of their main spots. It is a very high school way of approaching things, but they find it exciting because nobody bugs them.”

“[Gwen Stefani] can’t stop smiling right now,” the source continued. “She’s so incredibly happy being with Blake. She’s always gone for these quirky musicians. She’s never dated someone so handsome and confident as him. She feels like a giddy high school cheerleader dating the All American Quarterback.”

Gwen Stefani and Shelton have been somewhat private with their romance and haven’t yet appeared together on any red carpets. However, as any fan of The Voice can see, they appear to be completely happy and in love.
