When it comes to the holidays for 2015, a lot of people have a drone on their Christmas list. Adults and children both look at drones and think that they would be a lot of fun to play with, and want their own. Now that Black Friday is here, this is a great time to pick up a good deal on a drone. They vary from as low as $25 up to over $1,000, so you will want to think about how serious you are about buying a drone before just running out and trying to purchase one without any research at all. Wired helped to put together a list of some of the best Black Friday deals on drones this year.

Target has one of the favorites, which is the Parrot Bebop, and it is down to $394 instead of the normal $500 price. You will be saving $105 on this drone deal. This one can be run with an app on your phone as well, but you won’t get the special controller that holds your phone for this price. You can buy the drone controller separate if you want it. This deal is available online for the drone as well as in stores. Best Buy has another great one on sale, which is the DJI Phantom drone. The thing is this great drone is on sale, but the price tag is still $1,159.99, so this isn’t a drone you want to buy a kid who is going to crash it in five minutes. Best Buy also has the Yuneec Typhoon Q500 4K drone on sale for $1,000, which is a $200 savings.

At JC Penney’s, you can buy the Sky King Quadrone With Camera. This one can be bought online or in store. It is normally $150, but you can get it for just $99.99 today, and there is also a big $50 rebate on this drone. This is a great way to get a nice drone for only $50. It will run for 6-8 minutes each time. This sale has already started, and you don’t have to wait until Friday to get this drone for a great price.

Tech Times has a list with one of the cheaper drones that will be perfect if you have kids on your Christmas shopping list. Wal-Mart has the $25 Sky Viper stunt R/C Drone, which would be perfect for the kids on your list. If you were to crash one of these, then you wouldn’t be out thousands of dollars on a drone. This would also be a great drone to pick up so that you can see if this is something you enjoy and if it is worth buying a more expensive drone for yourself.

The big thing to remember about buying a drone on Black Friday is that you are going to be getting last year’s model. This can still be a great drone for you, but it won’t be the latest technology and of course they are getting better and better as they learn more things. The drones that are coming out this year can fly longer and do a few more things. If you are just starting out with drones, buying a good deal on a drone on Black Friday can get you started and then later on you may decide it is time to upgrade to a newer and better model. Drones are going to just continue to get better each year. You will also want to look at the prices of parts on the one you buy to make sure you don’t buy one that you can’t afford to repair.
