Jackson Brothers Tour: The Jackson 4 Prepare For ‘Unity Tour’ Without Michael

Marlon, Jermaine, Tito and Jackie will be heading out on tour this Summer without their brother Michael Jackson, who passed away three years ago. The remaining members of the Jackson 5, now known simply as The Jacksons, will play 27 dates over the Summer, paying tribute to their late brother.

Jermaine said:

“The brothers don’t know this, but I’ve broken down several times and cried during rehearsals. I’m so used to Michael being on the right and then Marlon, Jackie, on and on. It’s just something we never get used to.”

Billboard reports that this will be the first time that the Jackson Brothers will tour together since 1984.

Jermaine said:

“I am so happy and excited to perform again onstage with my brothers… I can’t wait to sing all the songs that were so much a part of all of our lives. We are ready and committed to keep the family’s legacy alive and perform once again with the highest level of excellence, creativity, and most of all, integrity.”

The Associated Press reports that The Jacksons will sing classic songs like “I Want You Back,” “ABC” and “I’ll Be There.” The group will also pay tribute to their brother with a slideshow as they sing “Gone Too Soon.”

Tito said:

“There’s certain songs that make you feel the sorrow… Then again, there are other songs that bring so much joy and happiness, such as `ABC’ and `I Want You Back’ and the up-tempo stuff like `This Place Hotel.’ I just imagine how he used to walk and spin and do all these things. You can feel his presence here.”

After the Jackson Brothers tour, Marlon, Jermaine, Tito and Jackie said that they have plans to sit down and make a record.
