Kenya Moore Slams Co-Stars: Are They Racists Towards Moore?

Kenya Moore has been working on her haircare line for years, and she was finally ready to share it with the world on The Real Housewives of Atlanta. Kenya put together a quick event and it looked fabulous, but her co-stars were quick to notice that there were no products at this product-launch party. It reminded some people of Sheree Whitfield’s fashion show with no fashion.

But Kenya Moore was proud of everything she had put together, and she was shocked to hear what her co-stars were saying about her. As it turns out, Moore is shocked that Phaedra Parks and Porsha Williams were making some comments behind her back about her product. And now Moore is fighting back.

According to a new Bravo report, Kenya Moore is now revealing that some of the comments that were made at the party were out of line. In fact, Kenya believes that Porsha’s comments could be considered racist.

“I too am self-made, often believing in myself when no one else did. Over the past 5 years I have developed, researched, tested, and branded Kenya Moore Hair Care. The culmination of my hard work and dedication should have been reflected in my launch party, since I’ve always thrown the most elaborate and memorable parties. The launch party was my baby. I entrusted event planners that did not execute my vision. It was an epic fail on their part. The positive side is I now have world-wide distribution and retail stores that will be carrying my line very soon. In many ways, I failed up,” Moore reveals in her Bravo blog.

The racist comment comes up when the ladies are making fun of Kenya Moore’s skin color. Kenya takes great offense to this comments, and she believes that Porsha owes her an apology. But given their past, Moore may have to wait a long time to get this apology from Williams.

“It’s sad that Porsha and Phaedra always feel a need to be hateful toward me after all we have been through to move past our tumultuous history. Together they dumb each other down. Phaedra taking digs at my previous skin condition with my date and making the comment about my skin being dark. These types of ignorant comments not only insult me as a dark skinned woman but an entire race. All black is beautiful. We should be celebrating our differences, which is why in my opinion Phaedra’s comment warrants an apology,” Moore writes in her blog.

It is definitely interesting that Phaedra and Porsha can’t support Kenya Moore these days. One would think that they have moved on from the old drama on the show. Of course, Kenya and Phaedra made peace during a cast trip but quickly resorted to their old ways. Porsha is much more outspoken these days after her divorce from Kordell Stewart. Even though Moore doesn’t have the support of her co-stars, she’s still moving forward on her own. And she is now ready to sell her products.

“I’m so proud of being able to wear my own hair and not a weave. My products focus on treating damaged and dry hair so that it is stronger and grows longer. Unless you have a medical condition you can grow your own hair longer and only wear weaves when you want to not because you have to,” Kenya revealed on Instagram, telling her fans that the product was now available for sale.

It will be interesting to see whether she sells more than Porsha Williams’ hair extensions. This competition could possibly surface on a future reunion show as it did when Kenya and Phaedra had competing workout DVDs.
