Bristol Palin Proves She Picked Out Her Baby’s Name Before Kristin Cavallari

Bristol Palin recently revealed what she plans on naming her daughter, and coincidentally, it is the same name The Hills star Kristin Cavallari chose for her little girl.

Bristol’s name announcement came just one hour after Kristin revealed her baby’s name, albeit with a different spelling. Palin’s daughter will be named Sailor, while Kristin’s is named Saylor.

To prove that she had chosen the name before Kristin’s big reveal, Bristol shared a photo on Instagram of several pieces of monogrammed infant clothing that read “Sailor.” Bristol congratulated the reality star on her new bundle of joy but added that she still planned on using the name for her own baby girl.

“When you find out @kristincavallari named her baby the exact name you are naming yours,” Palin captioned her post. “What a weird coincidence…congrats on your new bundle, and I do love her name…Still naming my baby girl Sailor!”

On Monday, Kristin and her husband, Chicago Bears quarterback Jay Cutler, announced on Instagram that their daughter had been born, and they had named her Saylor James Cutler. Their newest addition, who made her grand entrance just in time for Thanksgiving, joins the couple’s other two children Jaxon Wyatt, 18 months, and Camden Jack, 3. While her fans were wondering if she was going to keep the “J” trend going with the new baby, similar to Michelle Duggar and her 19 kids whose names all start with the letter “J,” Kristin decided to switch things up a bit and give Saylor a “J” middle name rather than a first.

In September, Cavallari spoke to People Magazine about how she and Cutler decided what to name their daughter. Strangely enough, Saylor is actually named after a dog.

“We picked out this baby girl’s name when I was pregnant with our first,” Cavallari told the magazine. “I met a woman and her dog, and I loved her dog’s name. Funny enough, it was the name she had picked out if she had a girl, but she had boys, so she used it for her dog instead.”

Earlier this month, Sarah Palin, Bristol’s mother and the former governor of Alaska, opened up about her daughter’s second pregnancy and how excited she is to be having a granddaughter. Bristol is currently 36 weeks pregnant by her ex-fiance Dakota Meyer and already has a 6-year-old son named Tripp with her ex-fiancé Levi Johnston.

“Being a single mom is, oh my goodness, my heart goes out to the single parents,” Palin said during an interview with CBS Sunday Morning. “[I have] enormous admiration for what it is that they’re able to accomplish doing double-duty. I watch Bristol do double-duty all the time, you know, with her little boy, Tripp.”

“I can’t wait for about 45 more days, and I’m gonna have a little baby granddaughter,” she added. “And I’m happy about it.”

Bristol Palin announced her pregnancy on her blog in July. She said she revealed the news much sooner than she had originally planned because of all the “trolls who have nothing better to talk about!!!”

“I wanted you guys to be the first to know that I am pregnant,” she wrote at the time. “Please respect Tripp’s and my privacy during this time. I do not want any lectures and I do not want any sympathy. My little family always has, and always will come first. Tripp, this new baby, and I will all be fine, because God is merciful.”

Bristol is scheduled to give birth to Sailor in December. Talk about a very special Christmas gift!
