Phaedra Parks Reflects On ‘RHOA’ Marital Issues: ‘Marriage Is Hard’

Phaedra Parks has been keeping to herself this season, as she is learning that her co-stars may not have her back. On the previous season of The Real Housewives of Atlanta, Parks learned that her co-stars had plenty of things to say about her marriage to Apollo Nida. And there were theories that Parks may have known a lot about his criminal activities.

These days, Phaedra Parks is focusing on her children and her businesses. Apollo is currently serving eight years behind bars, and he could be out in about four years if everything goes well. But it is possible that they will keep him in prison as he is a repeat offender. And while Phaedra’s marriage fell apart on the show, she understands what her co-star, Cynthia Bailey, is going through with Peter Thomas.

According to a new Bravo report, Phaedra Parks is now revealing that her heart goes out to Cynthia, who is clearly struggling to make sense of her marriage. Of course, Phaedra has been in that spot herself, as she realized that her marriage wasn’t going to work.

“My heart went out to both of them; they are not in a good place and I pray for them to get the answers they need to move forward with their lives. It is incredibly painful when you realize a marriage is not working, and it’s so easy to get lost when you are making decisions about whether or not a relationship should continue,” Parks reveals in her Bravo blog.

“I think deep down Peter is starting to recognize the error of his ways and realize just how much he loves Cynthia, and Cynthia seems to be very in touch with her feelings and is trying to be honest with Peter. Marriage is hard, and it is even harder when your marriage is under public scrutiny. I wish them both the best,” Parks concludes.

Even though Parks may not be close with some of her co-stars, she took the time to attend Kenya Moore’s hair product launch. The launch itself didn’t have any product, but Parks still decided to go to the event.

“Attending Kenya’s launch renewed my Christian faith, because if Hell is any hotter than Kenya’s event, I couldn’t tolerate it,” Parks revealed in her blog.

Phaedra Parks will start to get closer to new housewife, Kim Fields. Fields joined The Real Housewives of Atlanta this season because she could provide a fresh face. While Kim may have been famous for her work in Atlanta, she admits to losing herself a bit after having children. On Sunday’s episode, Parks and Kim will sit down and discuss their relationships, according to PEOPLE.

“I didn’t marry young. I knew who I was. I knew what I liked to do,” Parks reveals to Kim, adding, “I didn’t want to lose myself in my marriage and my kids. So, I get my nails done every week. I get my hair done every week. You gotta get that time.”

“I don’t know where Kimmy is,” Fields says in a confessional interview, admitting, “Kimmy is not on the radar. And so I think having a friendship with Phaedra could be a really good start.”

During their conversation, Kim explains that she gets excited about making lunches for the children and doing carpools with other adults. Phaedra can’t relate to these feelings, as she is always working on self-improvement. She is always working on a degree, starting a business, or making money. Parks hasn’t lost herself in her marriage or after having children.
