Harry Styles And Louis Tomlinson: Why ‘Shippers’ Insist ‘Larry’ Is Real

One Direction stars Harry Styles and Louis Tomlinson have spent a huge amount of time together since they were thrown together with Zayn Malik, Liam Payne, and Niall Horan during the 2010 season of X-Factor. It is believed that Styles and Tomlinson shared a flat after One Direction became a band. Harry and Louis seemed especially close and sometimes teased fans over their sexuality. Despite both Styles and Tomlinson having been linked with numerous women, some fans became convinced that Harry and Louis were in fact a couple.

As a result, the portmanteau Larry Stylinson was born. As time has gone on, more and more fans have become convinced that Harry and Louis are a couple, and they have unearthed a host of evidence to back up their theory.

Harry in particular has struck a lot of fans as gay or bi-sexual, especially given his support for gay fans and charities that support gay people. As reported in Inquisitr back in December Harry and Louis fueled further speculation about their relationship when they were asked about their “man crushes” during an interview. The interview itself was to highlight One Direction’s support for the London Lesbian and Gay Switchboard.

Now Magazine reported that in 2011 Harry revealed that Louis often grabbed his backside during gigs, and in 2012 Louis even joked that Harry was having his baby.

Back in 2013, the Daily Mail reported that an Australian interviewer embarrassed Harry and Louis when she produced pictures of the pair allegedly kissing. Louis and Harry claimed that the shots were photoshopped and not real. When asked directly about their alleged relationship, Louis and Harry claimed that all the One Direction boys were involved in a five-way bromance and acknowledged that some fans genuinely believe that Harry and Louis are a couple.

“We have one big five part romance, bromance. Some people genuinely think that we’re in a relationship, by the way.”

As with any “conspiracy theory” Larry “shippers” are always on the lookout for evidence that might indicate that Harry and Louis are in a relationship. In recent months a number of pieces of “evidence” have come to light. Cosmopolitan reported back in July that fans had freaked out when news about Tomlinson’s forthcoming fatherhood broke.

Some fans claimed that the pregnancy story was faked by One Direction’s management team as a way of killing the rumors about Harry and Louis’ alleged relationship. Others claim that Briana Jungwirth is actually a surrogate mother for Harry and Louis so that the couple can have a baby of their own. Many claim that the whole baby story is odd because Tomlinson refuses to discuss the matter.

Back in March, before Zayn Malik quit One Direction, MTV reported on a leaked copy of One Direction’s tour “rider.” This included a request for four changing rooms between five band members. MTV speculated that this meant Harry and Louis were sharing a dressing room.

During their recent tour, Styles has frequently draped himself in a rainbow flag, a symbol for gay rights, and during shows a “rainbow bondage bear” has made frequent appearances. Yahoo! Celebrity reported that during One Direction’s shows at London’s O2 arena, the rainbow bondage bear made an appearance dressed in a wedding dress. A smaller bear beside it had a picture of Larry Grayson at its feet, a clear illusion to the alleged Harry and Louis romance.

Fans are convinced that Harry and Louis are responsible for dressing the bear.

Just yesterday, the Mirror reported that Harry Styles grabbed Jimmy Kimmel’s butt when they appeared on his show. At the weekend’s American Music Awards, Harry was asked if he had any crushes on girls, and he relied, “No never, never again.” Whilst “Larry” may or may not be real, it seems that Harry Styles is happy to keep fans guessing.
