2015 Thanksgiving Hours: What Stores And Restaurants Are Open On Thanksgiving Day

Thanksgiving Day 2015 is almost immediately upon everyone and there may come that moment that you realize you forgot cranberry sauce or realize that you just don’t feel like cooking. That being said, you need to know where you can go to pick up some items or where to go eat if you’re not in the mood to use the oven. Sure, many people feel as if all stores should be closed, but that won’t be happening for all locations.

Now, there are a lot of locations that are franchised out and choose to make their own hours, so they may choose to be closed when the majority of others are open. Always check with your local stores before Thanksgiving Day to see if they will be open and what their hours are.

According to the Black Friday, more stores are closed on Thanksgiving Day 2015 than in previous years. Many are pledging to stay closed for the holiday and allow employees to be with their families.

For those that don’t wish to cook or put anything together for dinner, there are going to be some restaurants open, but not a ton. Some local eateries and those that aren’t chains could have hours, so call ahead to be sure.

As WATE pointed out, some franchise restaurants will be open while others won’t be. Just because an Applebee’s is open in one place doesn’t mean the other one that is five miles away is open.

Grocery stores are something else that many people wonder about during the holidays. A lot of them will be closing their doors for all of Thanksgiving so be warned that if you forget something, you may have to brave Walmart crowds. Most groceries will be closed or at least have very limited hours in the morning and into the early afternoon.

Now, for those that want to get in some shopping and not wait for Black Friday 2015, there are going to be a lot of stores opening their doors. Some are open all day, but their big-time deals and sales won’t start until the afternoon or more so into the evening hours.

Be prepared to stand in line and wait though. You may also want to arrive rather early so you don’t miss out on some of the bigger and more popular items.
