Rush Limbaugh: Ben Carson Critiqued By Talk Radio Star, ‘Not Equipped’ To Be President [Video]

Rush Limbaugh joined Chris Wallace on Sunday for an interview on Fox News Sunday. The topic that Rush was set to discuss was presidential candidate Ben Carson. Wallace did not waste any time by asking Limbaugh if he thought that Ben Carson could do the job if he was to be elected president. Limbaugh quickly stated “probably not.”

Limbaugh commented on the type of person that Ben Carson is.

“One of the most decent human beings in this country. One of the finest men. I’ve met him, and the things that he’s done, places he’s come from, he’s just one of the most decent human beings.”

Wallace went back to his question and asked Rush specifically if Carson was “equipped to be president?”

Limbaugh replied with his usual candor.

“Ben Carson equipped to be president? Um — probably not at this stage. But any of these Republicans running would be better than Hillary or better than anything we’ve got now, so on that, based on that comparison, yes. I would vote for him if it was up to him and Hillary. Absolutely, without a doubt.”

Whether or not Ben Carson could do the job of president has been a question that has followed him since he announced his candidacy. Rush Limbaugh is not the first, and he won’t be the last to bring up the question of Carson’s capability. Carson’s advisors are now saying that he is having more problems in the area of foreign policy. With the world focused on ISIS and the potential of a terrorist strike anywhere in the world, foreign policy has taken center stage in the political campaign. One of Ben Carson’s advisors, Duane R. Clarridge, is a retired agent for the CIA. He has been advising Carson on National Security.

Clarridge commented to the New York Times on this issue.

“Nobody has been able to sit down with him and have him get one iota of intelligent information about the Middle East.

Carson has been consistently questioned as to what he would do in the Middle East in regards to ISIS and Syria. His comments have made experts wonder if he has any idea what is going on in that region. Carson had recently went on the record stating that China was conducting a military operation in Syria and Carson was not able to come up with the names of countries he would call on to join in the fight against ISIS. The China remark was clearly not true. The fact that Carson could not come up with names of countries to form a coalition have led to the comments by people like Rush Limbaugh.

Ben Carson has been one of the most consistently attacked GOP presidential candidates. Earlier this month, Carson had to spend time stating that comments in his book about his past violence are true. People in the media had been unable to verify those statements which forced Carson to try and convince the people that what he said was true.

The Limbaugh interview did not focus only on Ben Carson. Rush commented on the two leaders of the GOP race, Donald Trump and Ted Cruz.

“Donald Trump is, I think, doing a great service. He is showing that you do not have to fear attacks from the media — Republicans do not have to fear from attacks from the media. He’s showing you do not have to fear being politically correct or violating political correctness.”

In regard to Ted Cruz, Rush was short and sweet when he said that Cruz was “Brilliant, just absolutely brilliant.”

Do you think that Rush Limbaugh was right about Ben Carson? Who do you think will be the GOP candidate for president?
