‘The Walking Dead’ Spoilers: What To Expect In The Midseason Finale

The Walking Dead Season 6 midseason finale is upon us already. Episode 8, which will air this Sunday, is set to be one of the biggest of all time, and fans looking for spoilers are eager to know who will die, and what may happen during the episode. [Warning: Big spoilers below!]

According to The Spoiling Dead Facebook page, there will be a big death that some people won’t see coming. Deanna, the leader of Alexandria, will sadly be killed, but go out like a hero. The Walking Dead spoilers reveal that Deanna will actually get bitten and suffer a fatal injury from a saw while saving Rick’s life. However, Deanna’s death won’t be a quick one. While she’s dying, both Rick and Michonne will have a very emotional, heartfelt final talk/goodbye with Deanna in what we can only assume she’ll make them promise to try and save the community she and her husband worked so hard to build.

Basically, The Walking Dead fans have seen Deanna’s entire family be taken out in the time that Rick and his group have been inside the walls of Alexandria. Her oldest son was killed during a run, her husband accidentally murdered by Jessie’s husband, Pete, which lead to Rick killing Pete in front of everyone, and now Deanna. The only living member of her family is her son, Spencer, and viewers aren’t sure he’ll survive much longer after the stunt he tried to pull in the previous episode.

Meanwhile, rumors have been circulating for months (Yes, months!) that Jessie will also bite the dust during The Walking Dead mid-season finale. Spoilers suggest that Jessie’s youngest son will be pulled in to a pile of walkers and she’ll be trying to save him, all the while holding on to Carl. Rick will then allegedly be forced to cut off Jessie’s arm and sacrifice her to the zombies in order to save his own son. Well, this won’t make Jessie’s other son, Ron, happy, as he already hates Rick and Carl. Of course, Ron will undoubtedly try to kill Rick/Carl, and the rumored end result is Carl getting shot in the eye!

The Walking Dead mid-season finale spoilers: Carol and Morgan butt heads.

All the while in Alexandria, two fan favorite characters are going to have a big confrontation. Spoilers reveal that “Morgan and Carol’s differing philosophies come to a head resulting in a wild scuffle.” This should be interesting, as Carol and Morgan have been butting heads for awhile now, and Carol doesn’t like anyone who threatens the group, as we’ve seen in the past with Lizzie, Karen, and David. Will one of the characters die, or be forced out of Alexandria? Hopefully not, but it is The Walking Dead after all!

Another big storyline in the midseason finale will center around Father Gabriel, who has been scarcely seen during Season 6 of The Walking Dead. Gabriel will “really step up in this episode,” as he will open his church to fleeing Alexandria citizens and then leave to help others. He’ll also use a machete and step up to help Rick during a dangerous situation. Who would have thought Father Gabriel would actually prove to be a productive member of the group?

Sunday’s episode is set to be one of the biggest and most shocking of the series, and fans will certainly love every minute of it. However, in true Walking Dead fan fashion, it will be a torturous winter waiting for February to roll around to finish out the rest of Season 6, but judging from the spoilers being revealed about the second half of the season, it will be worth the wait. (One word: Negan.)
