‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Who Is Alive And Who Is Dead?

On Friday’s episode of General Hospital, viewers were left with Helena Cassadine about ready to spill to Jason Morgan on who had been keeping the truth from him about his real identity. Or, she could have been playing him along like she always does.

However, the evil Cassadine matriarch never got the chance to get it out. On Monday’s show, viewers may have been shocked to see Helena actually die before she got around to spilling the truth. Yes, Helena Cassadine appears to be dead. Jason, San, Liz, and grandson Nikolas were all standing there when it happened. On the General Hospital clip from ABC, you can see that one minute she was talking, and next thing you know she is slumped over and not breathing.

Elizabeth put her nursing skills to action and tried reviving her, while Nik retrieved the doctor who has been treating Helena. But it was too late. Helena Cassadine appears to be dead after all these years. Or is she really? This is a soap, and General Hospital is famous for bringing people back from the dead. Just look at Jason Morgan. He was apparently retrieved from the water and saved by Helena when his friends and family thought he was dead.

Something similar must have happened to another Port Charles resident. It seems that someone else has come back from the dead. As Celebrity Dirty Laundry reported, Anna Devane thought she had shot and killed Carlos Rivera. In fact, she has admitted that she fired four times and saw Carlos die in front of her. However, it seems that the ghost that Anna thought she was seeing was really Carlos in the flesh. He was toying with her all this time.

Viewers saw Carlos show up at Sabrina’s door on Monday, looking as healthy as ever. Of course, thinking that her former love was dead, she got the shock of her life when he was standing there in front of her. The expectant mom ended up fainting in his arms. This is when Carlos realized that she was pregnant. His eyes lit up like a Christmas tree. This is definitely going to cause problems for Sabrina as she suspects that Carlos is the father of her baby, not Michael Corinthos. Are fans ready for another General Hospital “who’s the baby daddy” storyline?

As for Helena’s apparent death, all fingers point to her grandson, Nik, who is suspected of killing her. That cup of tea that he brought her must have been some strong stuff. Even Jason suspected it as he told Nik that it was quite convenient that Helena was about to expose him, and now she is dead before she got it out. Nikolas is becoming a true Cassadine in every way these days.

Of course, General Hospital could fake everyone out, as they know just how much viewers love to hate Helena Cassadine. She has been around since the Luke and Laura days, tormenting the Spencer family and anyone else that she feels necessary to put a curse on. It could be that she is playing along with her grandson in order to make everyone believe that she is no longer a threat. Or Helena could be playing Nik, as well. She could be pretending to be dead so he thinks he has done away with her.

Now that Helena is supposedly gone, maybe now Robin Scorpio will be freed, since she is being held captive on Cassadine Island. She is expected to be returning to Port Charles very soon to be reunited with Patrick and Emma. General Hospital is about to get very interesting.

Many questions still need to be answered. Whose baby is Sabrina carrying? What will happen to Anna Devane now that Carlos is really alive? Is Helena really dead?
