‘The Walking Dead’ Spoilers: Carl’s Eye Shot By Ron, Jessie Dies In ‘TWD’ Season 6 Finale? [Rumors]

If the Robert Kirkman’s comics are any guide to creating The Walking Dead spoilers, Carl’s eye is about to be lost, but many changes have already taken place. The major difference between the TWD Season 6 finale and the comics is that the motivation may be murder and not a mere accident. But is it possible the show runners are misdirecting audiences of both the comics and TV versions?

Also, many fans may like the romance between Rick Grimes and Jessie Anderson, but it is possible that The Walking Dead Season 6 will have zombies tear their romance asunder — and that’s assuming Rick doesn’t chop it off first.

In a related report by the Inquisitr, Chandler Riggs and Katelyn Nacon discussed Carl and Enid’s love affair during a recent interview. No one knows how long Enid has to live on the TV show since she’s not a character from the comics, but some fans believe she may be a substitute for a character related to Glenn and Maggie.

Speaking of our favorite pizza delivery boy, Glenn’s fate was revealed in the recent TWD episode, although some people thought the show jumped the shark in the way they handled the issue. When Steven Yeun appeared on The Talking Dead, Scott Gimple also revealed the overarching theme of The Walking Dead Season 6.

“It was important to do a story this year about uncertainty, and that the audience would share that uncertainty that the characters had,” he explained. “Maggie didn’t know what happened to Glenn, and I wanted the audience to feel the exact same way.”

There certainly is a lot of uncertainty in regards to how Ron Anderson will be handled in the mid-season finale. In the comics, Ron was the only son of Jessie Anderson, and he was significantly younger than the angry teen portrayed in the TV version. The Ron of the comics also did not have a younger brother named Sam and Enid did not exist as his ex-girlfriend.

Despite the differences, there are similarities. Although Ron’s father was abusive, the boy is certainly unhappy about the way Rick killed Pete Anderson.

“Why’s your dad get to be good but my daddy is bad?” asked the young comic version of Ron when he confronted Carl about his father’s death.

In the comics, Ron indirectly caused Carl to lose an eye since his death provoked events that led to the shooting, but in the TV version, it is possible Ron may be directly responsible for shooting Carl in the face. This possibility became scarily real when Ron asked Rick to teach him to shoot a gun.

“So I was thinking about what you said back at the quarry, and uh… I mean, you’re right, I need to know how to protect myself, and my mom and brother. This place. So can you teach me how to shoot?” Ron said.

It quickly becomes obvious to Rick that Ron was a little too eager during these lessons, and Rick starts to eye him sidewise when the teen suggests training with a silencer. Audiences are being led to be suspicious of Ron’s motives, and Rick quickly ends these shooting lessons.

In another jump-the-shark moment, the TWD writers have Rick allowing Ron to keep an unloaded gun at his side for gaining experience, but Ron sneaks past Olivia easily into the armory to steal ammo for the weapon. Near the end of The Walking Dead Season 6, Episode 7, Ron is shown stalking Carl down the street with one hand on his now fully loaded gun, which may foreshadow what happens during the mid-season finale.

In the comics, the death of Sam and Jessie Anderson occurred directly before Carl was shot accidentally by Douglas Monroe, a character who does not exist in the TV version. Likewise, if Jessie dies in the same manner, with her arm cut off by Rick, then it is possible Ron responds by shooting at both Carl and Rick.

Of course, this may all be misdirection by the show runners. Ron’s younger brother has also shown a keen interest in possessing a gun in past episodes. While it may be a stretch, The Walking Dead’s finale for the mid-season may attempt to surprise everyone by having Sam be the accidental shooter. Ron may even attempt to save everyone, and Jessie survives with the group that escapes Alexandria. But it seems unlikely that Carl’s eye will escape unscathed.
