Britney Spears: Beyonce And Jay Z Show They Are Fans Of Brit, Star Gets Festive In Vegas
Believe it or not, Beyonce and Jay Z are fans of pop princess Britney Spears. The star couple spent their weekend in Las Vegas, where they took in Spears’ “Piece of Me” show after travelling to Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino in style.
It’s reported that Beyonce sang along with all of Brit’s well-known ditties and looked like she was having a great time enjoying the entertaining performance.
Attendees of the show described Spears’ famous guests as having made quite the entrance. What else is to be expected of the power couple? E! Online relays the words of a guest.
“No one had any idea that they were coming. It was a huge surprise! We all thought the president or Britney herself had come out it was that crazy.”
Beyonce was immediately spotted singing along to Brit’s songs from her VIP seat and looked like she was enjoying every moment of the set. The news site shares the repertoire Spears’ “Piece of Me” tour involves.
“She sang the classics like ‘Baby One More Time,’ ‘Oops! I Did It Again’ and ‘Stronger’. She seemed very excited to hear ‘Me Against the Music’ too. She was definitely happy to be at the show.”
Although Spears has reportedly experienced a dip in ticket sales since veteran Vegas diva Celine Dion arrived back on the strip, the blonde songstress and performer announced in September that she has signed a new contract that will see her continuing on with the residency into 2016. Concerns of not having the appropriate audience to draw big numbers to Vegas have not proven to be an issue, and if Brit’s drawing the likes of Jay Z and Beyonce while keeping them thoroughly entertained, then it’s likely her show is worth taking in.
Spears not only managed to squeeze in some stellar performances this weekend, she was also front and center to ring in the festive season at a tree-lighting ceremony at the Linq Hotel in Las Vegas. The Mirror notes how Spears was integral in lighting the tree and did so looking fit and toned. Grueling, high-energy shows are surely the reason that the 33-year-old is able to maintain her top form. The Mirror discusses Spears’ demeanor and racy ensemble at the occasion.
“The songstress switched on the Christmas lights at the Linq hotel-casino in Las Vegas and appeared excited to attend. The ‘Toxic’ singer showed off her toned body in a revealingly low-cut black jumpsuit, which she paired with high heels and an eye-catching necklace.”
Britney was all smiles and joked with the crowd as she prepared to push the ignition button that would see the tree set beautifully alight for the season. The star has been at her best as of late and is obviously finding her place among other Vegas vets.
In addition to taking part in the lighting of the tree, Spears also announced that she will be joining a number of other stars for Matalan’s Christmas charity campaign. Those stars include sisters Kylie and Dannii Minogue and Chelsea’s Diego Costa and Abbey Clancy. All are helping to raise funds for better medicines for kids. The money raised goes to Alder Hey Children’s Charity Hospital. Efforts to bring in donations are made through the sale of “beanies and baubles.”
The publication relays the success that the campaign saw last year, indicating that similar, or bigger, donation numbers will be the end result this time around.
“Last year the store’s Alphabet Scarves campaign raised over £650,000 for the Alder Hey’s new state of the art Research, Education and Innovation Centre, which is being built alongside Alder Hey’s new world-class hospital.”
