Sofia Vergara Wedding Photos: Actress Shares Sweet Pics After Marrying Joe Manganiello
Sofia Vergara’s wedding photos hit the internet just a couple of hours after she married her beau, actor Joe Manganiello, on Sunday evening!
The couple celebrated their wedding ceremony, which started around 7:30 p.m. at The Breakers Resort in Palm Beach, Florida, according to People Magazine. Vergara looked unbelievably stunning in a custom Zuhair Murad Couture gown while the groom looked dapper in a tux, believed to have been a John Varvatos style.
Vergara was walked down the aisle by her son, Manolo Gonzalez-Ripoll Vergara, 23.
Sunday’s wedding followed a pretty incredible weekend filled with fun parties and dinners.
“The festivities included a weekend full of fun, including a pool party, a sumptuous rehearsal dinner and a pre-wedding bash that included Manganiello serenading his bride-to-be with ‘Sweet Child O’ Mine.'”
After saying her “I do’s,” Sofia Vergara posted a couple of wedding photos on her Instagram account, showing off her stunning gown and the absolutely breathtaking decor at the venue.
“I was delighted to have the opportunity to collaborate with Sofia on her dream wedding gown. I wanted Sofia to look phenomenal on her wedding day, showing off her hourglass physique and enhancing her famous curves. She expressly said that she wanted to look sexy, so I created a design that blended soft sensuality from the transparencies of tulle with the ornate glamour of ornamented embroideries and mini pearls.”
The dress is a showstopper, covered in 11 pounds of sequins and six pounds of pearls. Vergara previously said that she wanted something super sexy and she wanted to be sure that her gown would photograph well. Since she has previously been married, these things were most important to her — and Murad clearly nailed it.
“Personally, I know that I don’t like the natural look that some brides do. I’m 43, I don’t really need to look like a virgin getting married. I want to look sexy. I want to look great. I want to look good and [wear] something that I know is going to look good in pictures.”
The Modern Family actress and the Magic Mike star had plenty of celebrity friends mixed in the crowd — as you can probably imagine. According to E! News, the following celebs were in attendance. Julie Bowen, Jesse Tyler Ferguson, Ariel Winter, Eric Stonestreet, Channing Tatum, Sarah Hyland, Reese Witherspoon, Anna Paquin, Stephen Moyer, and Vergara’s on-screen husband, Ed O’Neill.
As far as a honeymoon goes, the newlyweds won’t be jetting off somewhere exotic. Vergara previously said that her work schedule will keep her from going on a proper post-nuptial-vaca, but that’s something that the two can do at a later time for sure.
And while Sofia Vergara and Joe Manganiello have only been married for a few hours now, many are already wondering whether or not the two will procreate. It’s something that Sofia has been asked about — and it’s something that she and Joe have discussed.
“Joe is younger than me. He’s 38. He’s never had kids. How am I going to say no? I tell him if we’re going to do this, we have to do it, like, now, because I don’t want to be 50 with a baby,” Vergara told Redbook earlier this year.
