Sex Pistols, Literally! Tennessee Woman Goes To Prison For Hiding Loaded Gun In Her Crotch
A Tennessee woman has been jailed after police found a loaded gun in her crotch during a routine search, according to New York Post.
Dallas Archer, 21, was stopped by police while speeding in her home city of Kingsport, Tennessee. When Archer was asked to fetch her license and she failed to produce it, the Tennessee woman was taken to Kingsport City Jail for being booked into the local lockup.
A routine search took a weird turn when a female jailer appeared to have located something in Archer’s crotch. According to the documents made available to reporters, the Tennessee woman was then accompanied by the jailer and a female cop to a bathroom, where the investigators discovered that the then-19-year-old teenager had concealed a loaded handgun in her vagina.

Once the pistol was “recovered,” cops quickly determined that it was a.22 caliber mini-revolver, which could hold up to five rounds. Further investigation revealed that Archer had stolen the weapon in 2013 from an automobile owned by fellow 71-year-old Kingsport resident John Souther.
In the aftermath of the discovery, shocked police officers charged Archer with bringing contraband into a penal facility, to which the Tennessee woman pleaded guilty. On Thursday, she agreed to spend three years in jail for the offense in a plea agreement.
Archer’s lawyer, Daniel Cantwell, told reporters that his client was also sentenced to an additional three years of community corrections on other charges, including marijuana possession and driving without a license, and two years’ probation.
When asked why the Tennessee woman had concealed a weapon in her vagina, Cantwell cheekily replied that he did not know why she had taken the name of the punk band “Sex Pistols” all too literally.
“I have never got an answer for that. I don’t know. I think it’s just because she was high.”
John Souther has still not been returned the gun, but when he came to know about the incident through reporters, he merely said “oh gosh” before adding that the “little guy … will need a bath in bleach.”
Before the sentenced was passed last week, the Tennessee woman had also been hit with two further counts of felonies, including firearms possession and stolen property charges. But a grand jury later decided not to indict her on the latter two counts, reports the Smoking Gun.
Apparently, this is not the first time that a woman has been found concealing a weapon in her private parts. According to Sky News, a Texas woman, Ashley Cecilia Castaneda, was allegedly found with a.22 semi-automatic Smith and Wesson pistol hidden in her crotch after she was asked to pull over by police in September.

A police officer had told Mashable at the time that they “often” found women carrying loaded firearms in their private parts.
“People don’t believe this happens in real life. It happens much more than your average citizen would ever know.”
The.22 caliber North American Arms mini-revolver, which was found in the Tennessee woman’s crotch, is known to be the most popular weapon in its category. It is about five inches in length, weighing 142 grams when unloaded.
We can only hope that more young women do not take their cue from Dallas Archer, because there are surely better places to keep one’s weapons.
