Khloe Kardashian: ‘Staph Infection Is No Joke,’ Urges Fans To ‘Pay Attention’ To Their Bodies
Khloé Kardashian’s staph infection has been rumored to be pretty serious, but the reality TV star hasn’t had a whole lot to say about the situation. Instead, Khloé has spent her time healing and getting healthy.
On Saturday, the 31-year-old took to Twitter to speak about her current condition and to reassure fans that she will “be better very soon.”
Staph infection is no joke. Mine was exacerbated by stress which is not a great combo. I’m under great medical care&receiving tons of love!

The Keeping Up With the Kardashians star is said to have contracted the staph infection while caring for Lamar Odom in the hospital. Reports indicate that Kardashian had a lesion on her leg.
Lamar Odom was hospitalized in October after he was found unconscious in a Las Vegas-area brothel. Odom allegedly suffered a drug overdose after reportedly taking a combination of cocaine and a sexual-performance enhancing drug.
Odom has spent more than a month in the hospital recovering from the incident, and for much of the time, Khloé Kardashian has been by his side. In the initial days, it was rumored that Kardashian refused to leave Lamar’s side for even a few moments.
Khloé’s condition forced her to cancel a few book tour dates earlier this month as she rests and recovers from the infection. Khloé is currently promoting her new book, titled Strong Looks Better Naked.
Earlier this week, Kourtney Kardashian was asked about her sister’s current condition, and she told E! News.
“[Khloé] is good. She’s OK. She’s not feeling well, but she’s OK.”
According to WebMD, staph infections are caused by a type of bacteria that is found nearly everywhere — “on the skin or in the nose of even healthy individuals.” The medical website reports the following.
“Most of the time, these bacteria cause no problems or result in relatively minor skin infections … But staph infections can turn deadly if the bacteria invade deeper into your body, entering your bloodstream, joints, bones, lungs or heart. A growing number of otherwise healthy people are developing life-threatening staph infections.”
The lesions can be extremely painful, and are most often treated with antibiotics, according to WebMD. Until now, Khloé has said very little about the staph infection she contracted while in the hospital with Lamar, but earlier this month, she did confirm that she was on antibiotics.
Signing off…. Antibiotics +painkillers + tweeting does not equal anything good lol

According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, healthy people can avoid contracting staph infections by washing hands with soap and water frequently, and keeping open wounds covered.
After Khloé Kardashian’s messages on Twitter, fans came out in droves to support the KUWTK star, and most simply seemed happy to hear an update from Khloé herself.
