With Snow White and The Huntsman’s worldwide box-office currently weighing in at $ 247.2 million ($ 124.6 million overseas, $ 122.6 mil domestic) – today it was the turn of “down under” to experience Universal’s hit fairytale epic.
Kristen Stewart, director Rupert Sanders and Aussie native Chris Hemsworth, wowed a delighted crowd at an evening premiere held at Event Cinemas in Westfield Bondi Junction, Sydney. (June 19)
Rocking the white carpet – yes, white – in a jade green encrusted Balmain two-piece, complete with punky up-do and dramatic make-up, the 22 year-old actress and co-star Hemsworth brought the glamour and serious starpower to the event – despite the absence of Charlize Theron.
After signing autographs for fans, the two stars joined guests inside the venue for the screening. The natural and easy friendship between these two – already commented on by U.S and UK press – has also been noticed down under.
Asked about her ‘Huntsman’ co-star Stewart told Aussie show The Project,
“He [-] is literally one of the [nicest], like one of the nicest guys I have ever met in my life.”
And new father Hemsworth was equally complimentary about his leading lady.
“Yeah, oh she’s great” the actor told The Project “[…] such a passionate sort of idea about where she wants to take the character and what she wants to do.”
With a sequel already moving forward and box-office soaring, Universal, Kristen Stewart, Chris Hemsworth and the rest of the cast have every reason to believe in happy endings.
