Get Adele’s Signature ‘Cat Eye’ Look But Don’t Listen To ’25’ Simultaneously

Of course you can listen to anything you want, but you have been warned by numerous music critics and fans alike: Adele’s new album, featuring her smash hit introductory single ‘Hello’, is still about hauntingly raw and real heartbreak, as reported by Inquisitr. You may identify. You may empathize. You may want to drink wine and weep for lost lovers you’ve never even known (and definitely the ones you have). At the very least, you may feel a bit melancholy for the one who got away, or the one who didn’t get away and kept you from finding the one you really wanted.

Regardless of your situation, there’s a real chance her visceral lyrics and haunting melodies may cause some tears. But, after you’ve gotten it out of your system, you just might want to copy her signature cat-eye look that is both dramatic and mysterious. The cat-eye makeup followed Adel from Pho and is now featured prominently on her sophomore album, 25. Adele’s superstar eye makeup look is now within your reach, according to E Online.

Adele is a bit of a celebrity mystery. She does not conform to first-world cultural beauty standards; instead, she shatters them into oblivion so that most forget they exist. Adele is not thin or toned, but her beauty is well-recognized across the globe, from her luscious locks to her dramatic eyes and flawless skin. While there’s no doubt she’s a natural beauty, she does use some makeup tricks that others can achieve, as well, including the glamorous “cat eye” that’s part of her signature look.

Without further ado, we can put down the wine and turn off the new album in order to practice her look for the holidays. However, be forewarned, this may cost you some significant money. You’ll need to buy false eyelashes, as it has been rumored that she sometimes wears three pairs at a time. They are perhaps the most important part of her eye-game, and the eyes are the most important part of her look.

The Eyes of Adele

Step 1: Apply primer to the eye lids. This should be a base color very close to your own skin tone.

Step 2: Use a champagne-colored shadow with bit of shimmer all over the eye lids to start Adele’s smoky eye. Too much shimmer will ruin the look and appear flashy, not Adele-esque.

Step 3: Using the tip of an eyelid crease brush, apply a medium brown shadow to creases of the eyes in a back and forth motion, from left to right, taking care to blot away any excess.

Step 4: In small circular motions, apply a darker espresso color only to the outer edges of each eye, blending into the crease but not on it. The effect should be very subtle so there’s no clear delineation from the medium brown to the espresso.

Step 5: Apply false eyelashes according to manufacturer’s directions. No matter how long or thick your natural lashes are, it’s unlikely you can achieve the ‘Adele Eye’ without the help of them.

Step 6: Using an angled eye makeup brush and black gel liner, outline the shape of the wing, starting from lid center to outer edge. Do the other eye. Once both outlines are to your liking, fill in the wings with gel until the line is dark and dramatic. If you mess up the line, simply apply another set of false eyelashes to balance the line out — that’s what makeup pros do.

Step 7: Apply black mascara to your own lashes so they blend in to the fake lashes well. Don’t forget your bottom lashes.

Step 8: Step out, with or without a faux fur coat, enjoying your Adele-like beauty.
