Bangtan Boys: K-Pop Idol Group BTS Finally Opens An Official Instagram Account Three Years After Their Debut

One of the most popular K-pop idol boy groups today is Bangtan Boys, better known as BTS. Making their debut back in 2013, the group consisting of Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Rap Monster, Jimin, V, and Jungkook has since grown monumentally in popularity. As a matter of fact, BTS recently won the the Best Worldwide Act at the 2015 MTV European Music Awards, outlasting VIXX, B1A4, Got7, and GFriend. Winning such an honor was a testament to their popularity. Ergo, it makes sense just how disappointed fans were when BTS had to cancel their second fan concert and meet-and-greet because of the MERS outbreak.

Given that Bangtan Boys is so popular in K-pop, it is quite a surprise they did not have an Instagram account. That, however, has changed as it is now reported that BTS have finally joined the ranks of other popular K-pop groups, such as Sistar, in opening an account on the popular social media site.

According to AllKpop, Bangtan Boys officially set up their very own Instagram account. The report feigned surprise that BTS just recently made one despite the fact that they are currently one of the most popular K-pop acts running past three years strong.

Bangtan Boys’ first official post actually consists of nine posts put together forming the album cover art for their highly-anticipated album HwaYangYenHwa Pt. 2 (as shown above). Because of this, it can be said the biggest reason why BTS even opened an official Instagram account in the first place is for promotion of their upcoming comeback. As a matter of fact, the Instagram account is just one of many promotions BTS is doing prior to HwaYangYenHwa Pt. 2 releasing, as reported by Fashion & Style. First, BTS released the teaser track music video for “Never Mind” (attached below).

The music video was produced by Bangtan Boys member Suga and composer Slow Rabbit. As for its content, it shows an animated boy character running to catch a butterfly accompanied by animations of catchy phrases such as the song’s title. Next, BTS will be hosting a concert at Seoul Olympic Park, November 27 to 29, 2015. Those who attend will be given a treat as BTS will perform songs from their new album. Finally, the last promotion Bangtan Boys is doing for their comeback is a sweepstakes through Naver’s “Real Life V” Facebook page. Winners will not only get tickets to the concert, but they will also receive backstage passes to personally meet BTS.

Needless to say, the A.R.M.Y. (hardcore fans of Bangtan Boys) are overly excited to hear new content from BTS. The last time they performed anything new was last year.

Bangtan Boys’ comeback album titled HwaYangYenHwa Pt. 2 (which translates to The Most Beautiful Moment in Life Pt. 2) releases on November 30, 2015. BTS will also release the Japanese version of their song “I Need U” as their fifth Japanese single later on December 8, 2015.
