Khloe Kardashian Hosting Thanksgiving Dinner: Will Lamar Odom Or James Harden Join Her?
Khloe Kardashian is taking over the hosting duties for Thanksgiving this year. The Keeping Up With the Kardashians star says she’s still in charge of planning Thanksgiving dinner for her large family, despite being under the weather from staph infection.
Khloe Kardashian, 31, took to her new eponymous website to make the announcement on Friday, Nov. 20, according to Us Weekly. Last year, Kardashian took to Instagram to share a photo of her formal Thanksgiving gathering. The photo featured elegant décor such as gold plates, white pumpkins, and floral centerpieces. Kardashian was obviously proud of her baking, cooking, and decorating skills, which is why she blasted the photos on her Instagram page.
“Thanksgiving is at my house this year!!! This is the second time I’m doing dinner in my home and I like that it’s my tradition.”
Khloe already knows what she has to do in order to have a successful Thanksgiving dinner. She even gave her fans some tips and tricks on how to get prepared for the holiday.
“I start preparing the day before and then, on Thanksgiving Day, I start at 7 a.m. It’s just fun and I love to cook. (P.S. My famous mac & cheese recipe is going to be on my app next week!!!)”
It’s not just about the food though. The reality star reminded her fans that it’s also about using the right ambiance and décor. No paper turkeys here! It’s all understated elegance, according to Khloe.
“I really like to get my table-setting just right. You won’t see porcelain turkeys or anything like that on my table. I want the pictures to be timeless and besides, the food should shine. Instead, I do floral centerpieces that I can re-use after Thanksgiving.”
This will be the second time that Khloe Kardashian is hosting Thanksgiving dinner at her home. She says that she likes to keep the tradition alive in her family. The youngest Kardashian sister already has a lot on her plate (excuse the pun) with her ex Lamar Odom in the hospital. Earlier this week, Kardashian said on the Today show that he could be “fully mentally recovered” in a year and a half. Doctors originally thought that Odom would only have four hours to live after he was found unresponsive at the Nevada brothel.
Khloe then had to cancel her book tour for her new book Strong Looks Better Naked because of her staph infection. She contracted the infection by being by Lamar Odom’s bedside since Oct. 13. Khloe took to Twitter telling fans the reason for her cancelled appearances, saying, “I’m sick & dr’s orders are that I need to lay low until we narrow down what’s wrong.”
But her sister Kourney Kardashian insists that she’s doing “good,” despite her illness. She added that although Khloe’s “not feeling well,” she’s still doing “OK.”
With the news of Khloe Kardashian’s Thanksgiving plans, some will wonder if she’ll also plan to spend some time with her ex-husband Lamar Odom and her boyfriend James Harden. Hollywood Life previously reported that Khloe has been “stretched thin” with her feelings for both men. That added stress certainly won’t help Khloe’s health. Another report on the celebrity gossip blog claims that she wants to spend the holidays with both guys, if it’s possible. After all, Lamar is still recuperating in the hospital and will probably remain there for the rest of the year, unless a Christmas miracle happens.
“Khloe has brought up the idea to watch James play on Christmas and bring Lamar with her if he is healthy enough to travel to Texas. She wants Lamar to be around the game and have some fun; he needs it. But in the chance that he is not able to take that much of travel, she would love to go to the Los Angeles Lakers game, and then hang out with James during New Year’s Eve after his game that night because he has the following day off.”
The fitness freak has already been slammed for being involved with both men. Kardashian went on a Twitter rant when haters slammed her for still being married to Odom while dating Harden. In a series of tweets, Kardashian stated that their divorce will still move forward but after he fully recovers. She also told the haters to butt off her life.
