ISIS Bombs Hidden Inside Dolls To Kill Children Found By Security Forces

ISIS bombs have been found hidden in dolls in an effort to kill children, Iraqi security forces say. The police agents have reportedly seized more than one dozen booby-trapped dolls that are believed to be part of an Islamic State plot against Shia pilgrims.

Baghdad security forces have reportedly destroyed or defused 18 IEDs hidden inside doll bodies with blonde hair, which are then dressed in colorful doll clothing, the Daily Mail reports. The ISIS bombs hidden in dolls were going to be scattered on the road between Baghdad and Karbala, where millions of Shia Muslims will be walking during an annual pilgrimage in December.

Each year the religious pilgrims walk many miles for Arbaeen. The Shia religious observance comes at the end of a 40-day period of mourning commemorating the anniversary of Imam Hussein’s death. Imam Hussein is the grandson of the Prophet Muhammad. The annual pilgrimage is typically considered one the largest religious gatherings in the entire world.

Millions of Shia Muslims will make the walk through Karbala in the coming weeks. In 2014, a record number of pilgrims, 17.5 million, arrived in Karbala to commemorate Arbaeen. The ISIS booby-trapped bombs were discovered by al-Husseiniya security forces. The town is part of a predominantly Shiite suburb in northeastern Baghdad, the Kuwait News reported.

Approximately 15 people were killed during multiple ISIS bomb attacks in Baghdad on Friday. One of the bomb explosions occurred at a mosque in the capital neighborhood of Nahiyet al-Rasheed. A roadside bomb exploded on the street outside of the mosque as Friday prayers were completing, according to local police reports.

A few moments after the roadside bomb attack, a suicide bomber reportedly went inside the mosque and detonated a vest filled with explosives. A total of 10 people were killed and 28 more were wounded in the attack. In the commercial district of Baghdad, five people were killed and nine were wounded in two separate roadside bomb attacks.

No group immediately claimed responsibility for the bombing in Baghdad, but almost daily similar attacks have reportedly been claimed by ISIS.

As previously reported by the Inquisitr, the American Fusion Centers currently have open ISIS investigations in all 50 states. During an interview with West Virginia news out WCHSTV, the Fusion intelligence center staffers refused to get into specifics regarding how many ISIS militants could be in the state, nor would they confirm any locations where the potential terror suspects had allegedly been spotted.

Fusion Intelligence Center in Charleston did say that the Islamic State is training and recruiting militants staffers “close enough to be concerned.”

The Fusion Centers were created under the umbrella of the Department of Justice’s Global Justice Information Sharing Initiative and the Criminal Intelligence Coordinating Council. The facilities are supposed to be an “effective and efficient mechanism to exchange information and intelligence” in the fight against terrorism and violent crime.

“There are areas in the United States that are not too far from here, that have very large populations that are being recruited for ISIS right now. There are people associated with Al Qaeda, there are people on the Terrorist Watch List who travel through West Virginia, whether it’s through the airports or through the roads,” Fusion Intelligence Center director Thomas Kirk said.

The staffers at the Fusion Centers reportedly gather information and tips from multiple sources and distribute them to national security and law enforcement agencies as a part of the National Criminal Intelligence Sharing Plan.
