Ariana Grande still has some secrets tucked away for fans to discover and these tidbits might just make fans go “hmmm.” How many of these Ariana Grande facts did you already know?
1. Fans might not know this, but as reported by BoomsBeat, her full name is Ariana Grande-Butera and she has Italian ancestry — half Abruzzese and half Sicilian.
2. BoomsBeat also reports that when she was 10-years-old, Ariana Grande was the co-founder of Kids Who Care, a singing group from South Florida that performed at charitable fundraising events.
3. Also from BoomsBeat is the fact that Ariana Grande loves hockey! Having been raised in Florida, the Florida Panthers are her favorite team. Apparently, she used to frequently get hit by pucks when she was at games. She even sang the national anthem at a Panthers game when she was just 8-years-old.
4. In an interview with Us Weekly, Ariana Grande reveals she loves everything Halloween and horror. In fact, she calls her obsession with horror “sick.”
“I have had a sick obsession with horror movies since I was little.”
Apparently, her mom thought she might grow up to be a serial killer because Ariana Grande would always go around the house wearing Halloween masks.

5. A very odd fact that is also reported by Us Weekly and probably not at all well-known is that Ariana Grande sleeps with very little clothing on, thanks to her grandmother, who is apparently a strong advocate for sleeping naked.
6. Another cool fact is reported by Heavy. It appears that Ariana Grande’s boyfriend, Ricky Alvarez, is one of her backup dancers. Who knew? Sometimes Alvarez likes to post concert pics on Instagram.

7. Complex Magazine interviewed Ariana Grande and discovered that she has had a demonic experience. Ariana describes the experience in detail.
“I felt this sick, overwhelming feeling of negativity over the whole car and we smelled sulfur, which is the sign of a demon, and there was a fly in the car randomly, which is another sign of a demon. I was like, ‘This is scary, let’s leave.’ I rolled down the window before we left and said, ‘We apologize. We didn’t mean to disrupt your peace.’ Then I took a picture and there are three super distinct faces in the picture – they’re faces of textbook demons.”
8. In a separate Complex interview, Ariana Grande revealed the first acting role she ever had was in Annie.
“I was 8 years old when I started. I played Annie, it was my first role, and then I just never stopped.”
From there she moved on to Broadway, auditioning for 13 and being chosen out of thousands of kids.
“I auditioned for 13, and out of thousands of kids they picked me, and I was so blessed. I came to New York with my best friend and we grew up together doing musical theater since we were like seven years old, we were best friends. We both got it out of thousands of kids, it was insane.”
9. What about the very first concert Ariana Grande ever went to? VH1 reveals it was a Katy Perry concert. And as fate would have it, Katy is now a big fan of Ariana.
10. Finally, as reported by VH1, Ariana Grande is the first female artist since 2010 to have her first two albums debut at No. 1. The albums were Yours Truly (2013) and My Everything (2014), and they both debuted at the top of Billboard’s 200.
