Khloe Kardashian ‘Good’ Despite Infection That’s Left Her Hospitalized, Twitter Fan Feud Adds To ‘Stress’ [Video]

Khloe Kardashian is reportedly doing well as she recovers from a staph infection that has her family “panicking,” according to the New York Daily News.

After Kardashian cancelled a stop on her tour to promote her new book Strong Looks Better Than Naked, reports surfaced that Khloe contracted a staph infection in the hospital while caring for her husband, Lamar Odom. According to TMZ, Khloe told fans over Twitter that she wasn’t feeling well on Wednesday and was going to the hospital for more tests.

Reports about the severity of the reality star’s infection are varied, but according to Khloe herself, she is on antibiotics and painkillers, which gives some indication the infection is serious.

Sister Kourtney Kardashian told E! News that Khloe is “good,” explaining that her sister is “not feeling well, but she’s OK.”

According to TMZ, Kris Jenner, momager to Khloe Kardashian and her sisters, is “freaked out” about the infection because her stepfather, Harry Shannon, died after he contracted a staph infection in a hospital in 2003. Khloe reportedly has a high fever, swollen glands, and a lesion on her leg.

Kim Kardashian, who is eight months pregnant, has been told not to visit Khloe since doctors don’t want her to catch the infection as well.

An insider revealed to TMZ that the infection is “so scary” and Khloe is “so sick,” but a second source reported to the New York Daily News that “Khloe has a minor infection and is being treated by her doctors,” adding that the real reason Khloe is not feeling well is because the reality star is “run down.”

According to sources, Khloe has “been burning the candle at both ends,” confessing that she “will be fine but needs some rest.” Kardashian herself told fans over Twitter that “[s]tress can run our bodies down so please everyone take care of yourselves.”

Khloe Kardashian likely contracted the staph infection while caring for her husband, Lamar Odom, who was found last October unconscious in a Nevada brothel. According to the National Institute of Health, it’s not uncommon to catch a staph infection in a hospital, and the infection is usually spread through skin-to-skin contact.

Kardashian has also come under some fire for fans, which has added to her stress levels. According to Us, Kardashian got into a Twitter feud with fans after she was criticized for dating James Harden while still being married to Lamar Odom.

After one fan told Khloe she “can’t be with harden [sic] and still be married fam, gotta chose one,” and a second agreed that “[f]or better or worse sickness and health till death do them part. I’m with you she needs to pick one,” Kardashian shot back in defense.

Us reports that after being slammed by fans, Khloe assured them the “[d]ivorce is still going forward,” reminding them that dating Harden “[d]oesn’t mean I won’t be there through sickness and health. I’ve proven that.”

Khloe also retorted that if her fans want to criticize her, they “should have said those to the man who went against all our vows,” telling fans to “[j]udge yourself. F**k off.”

After her outburst, Kardashian stuck around to answer some more questions, and after a fan accused her of being with Odom “to look good for the media,” Khloe pointed out Lamar “wasn’t picking roses my friend,” referring to the fact that her husband was found unconscious in a brothel. “Get off my d**k,” Khloe Kardashian replied quickly.

Khloe Kardashian drew her Twitter chat to a close, telling fans that she thought “the painkillers I’m on and tweeting is probably not the best thing,” admitting that “[a]ntibiotics +painkillers + tweeting does not equal anything good lol.”
