Cops: Pastor Davey Blackburn 100 Percent Ruled Out As Murder Suspect, 28-Year-Old Wife Amanda Blackburn Was Raped [Video]
The updates about Amanda Blackburn, the 28-year-old wife of Pastor Davey Blackburn, are still filtering out to the public. Some of those updates are horrific, according to ABC 13, as authorities claim Amanda was sexually assaulted prior to her murder and that Blackburn put up quite a fight prior to being killed. The DNA evidence left behind should help police find her killer or killers, say authorities.
Amanda’s death happened after a previous robbery had already occurred in the Indianapolis neighborhood where Amanda lived with Pastor Blackburn and their young son. At the time of her tragic death, Amanda was 12 weeks pregnant. The house that Blackburn shared with her husband and children (one unborn) was in an area where neighbors say that type of crime usually doesn’t happen.
Pastor Davey has now spoken out, reports Yahoo News, about Amanda’s death. In a video from Inside Edition, Blackburn can be seen twisting his wedding ring and speaking about the last words he said to Amanda prior to her death.

Blackburn spoke of Amanda having a servant’s heart and a love for Jesus and their son. Pastor Davey grows upset when he talks about telling Amanda that they know they’ve experienced a long-distance relationship in the past and that his final words to her likened that previous distance to the distance the duo now feels.
Davey appeared to calmly try to hold his emotions in check as he spoke about Amanda’s killer or killers taking away a mom from her child. Blackburn reached out to anyone with information about the robberies and murders to speak out and help with the case.
According to the above video from Yahoo News, police have 100 percent ruled out Pastor Davey as a suspect in the murder of his wife and unborn child. Amanda reportedly died after putting up a fight to protect their 1-year-old son. A screen grab photo from a security footage video given out to the public by the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department shows a potential suspect roaming the Indianapolis neighborhood around the time of the murder of Amanda.
It was November 10 when Blackburn suffered a gunshot wound to the head during the attack in her home. Blackburn died the next day, and as Pastor Davey speaks about his last words to his wife, emotion leaks out. Conflicting reports say Amanda was 13 weeks pregnant when she was killed in her home.
The above video from Yahoo News also shows Davey and Amanda in various videos, calling the couple completely in love. The Blackburns appeared in a video most recently taken during their trip to Chicago, where Amanda says the best way a husband can show love for his wife is to lead by example.

Other video footage shows the couple enjoying their honeymoon in Mexico, at a baseball game, and generally having fun in various locations. In spite of authorities saying they’ve 100 percent ruled out Pastor Davey as a suspect, that hasn’t stopped the online chatter of folks who point to cases like Scott Peterson, whose wife, Laci Peterson, and their unborn son, were killed in Modesto, California, in 2002. Scott was convicted for the crimes. Those commenting on the videos point to potential scenarios in Amanda’s death.
“I suppose everyone is different in their grieving and I’m not judging. I hope its like he said, he just hasn’t let her death sink in and he didn’t have anything to do with her death. It’s certainly sad for the child.”
“I mean he could possibly be telling the truth, but no tears when something this dramatic happens I find that very suspicious.”
Meanwhile, police say two people have been arrested on unrelated charges in the Blackburn case, reports the Indy Star.
