Khloe Kardashian Divorce Delay Turns Into Twitter War As She Bashes Lamar Odom: Why She Holds On As Health Proxy

Khloe Kardashian canceled her divorce when she learned about the medical crisis faced by her estranged husband, Lamar Odom. In the weeks that have followed, Khloe has taken charge of his medical decisions and stayed close to his side while taking time out to maintain her romantic relationship with boyfriend James Harden.

And that’s why the Twitter trolls attacked Kardashian over her divorce delay, reported People.

The social media battle began when Khloe tweeted about the Houston Rockets triumph over the Portland Trail Blazers. Twitter trolls, aware that the reality TV star is in a romance with Houston Rockets player Harden, criticized Kardashian for having a boyfriend but cancelling the divorce to remain the legal wife of Odom.

“You can’t be with harden and still be married fam, gotta chose one,” criticized a Twitter user.

“For better or worse sickness and health till death do them part. I’m with you she needs to pick one,” chimed in another Twitter follower.

Khloe responded by revealing that she has not changed her original plans when it comes to Lamar. Taking to social media to attack the Twitter trolls, the Keeping Up with the Kardashians star sought to clarify the status of her relationship with Odom.

According to Kardashian, finalizing the divorce will not end her concern for her estranged husband.

“Divorce is still going forward. Doesn’t mean I won’t be there through sickness and health. I’ve proven that,” Khloe responded on Twitter.

Odom and Kardashian married in 2009. But when Khloe learned he had been unfaithful, that realization, coupled with his substance abuse, caused her to start the divorce process rolling in 2013. What caused the delay?

Lamar refused to sign the divorce papers. However, even though both he and Kardashian did complete their part of the divorce process in the summer, Khloe asked a judge to dismiss the divorce finalization process in order to put their attention on his health.

Kardashian sought to explain to People what she feels is unique about her relationship with Lamar.

“It’s not even in our brains thinking about us as a couple or having a relationship right now. It’s not anything sexual or intimate. I want to be his support system. Tragedy does make you reassess a lot of things, but when it comes to our relationship, it’s the same, except I’m here supporting him fully.”

As for that exchange on Twitter, Khloe took the time to point out that the individual in the marriage who cheated was Lamar.

“You should have said those to the man who went against all our vows,” Kardashian asserted. “Judge yourself. F— off.”

Perhaps feeling regretful of her Twitter exchange, Khloe subsequently blamed her rants on drugs.

“I think the painkillers I’m on and tweeting is probably not the best thing,” Kardashian added.

As the Inquisitr reported, because of what was initially described as a mystery illness, Khloe cancelled book signings planned as part of her promotion of her new book, Strong Looks Better Naked. Although reports varied on what’s caused Kardashian to take some down time, several reports indicated it’s a staph infection, which has caused severe pain and thus would explain the painkiller comment Khloe made on Twitter. She may have contracted it at the hospital where she’s been visiting Lamar.

For now, until Kardashian completes the divorce, she remains responsible for making Odom’s medical decisions, and she recently shared just how terrified she felt when she received the initial call about the life-and-death status of her estranged husband, reported Us Weekly.

“They told me that he had four hours,” recalled Khloe. “It’s a horrible call to get. Getting to the hospital and knowing he’s in a coma and having to run these tests or make medical decisions — it’s terrifying.”

For now, Kardashian is still in the role of health care proxy for Lamar, and Khloe revealed that it’s a stressful situation.

“You have to make risk-and-reward decisions. Like, okay, well, there’s an 80 percent chance if we do this operation, he might pass away,” revealed the reality TV star. “But also, if we don’t do it, there’s a 90 percent chance he’ll pass away.”

At this point, Odom is relearning skills such as walking while undergoing speech therapy and other having other types of treatment. Khloe shared that it’s a long road to full recovery and that even the end goal is not yet known.

“They think, like, within a year and a half to two years that, mentally, he might be fully recovered. But they don’t know,” admitted Kardashian.
