Amy Schumer Flips Out During Gym Session? [Report]
Did Amy Schumer flip out at the gym? According to Radar Online, the Trainwreck star and comedienne, who recently took home an Emmy for her Comedy Central sketch show Inside Amy Schumer, threw a tantrum at a local NYC gym.
From the looks of it, it sounds like fame is getting to Schumer’s head if reports are to be believed. According to Radar Online, Schumer threw a fit at Equinox gym in New York City after she wasn’t permitted to enter the gym because she forgot her membership card.
According to an insider, Schumer flew into a fit of rage, pulling the “I’m famous!” card to defend her membership. The eyewitness on the scene said she screamed, “I know you know who I am, I’m famous!”
After the mini fit, the onlooker said, “She stormed out. No joke!”
That said, this seems like a bit of a stretch. Schumer has been very candid about hating her newfound fame from her blockbuster hit Trainwreck, so it would be strange for her to pull attention to herself by screaming in the middle of a public place in New York. During a stand-up performance, Schumer said the whole experience was pretty lousy.
“I’m, like, newly famous, and it turns out it’s not fun. Did you guys know that? You’re, like, you know that I’m just now learning that my dreams have been a sham, and that it’s actually not great and it just only comes with pain.”
The comedian put fame into perspective the only way she could: in her signature comedic style.
She told the audience, “We all know it’s going to last another three months because that’s how it works. I’m already burning bridges like it’s already f**king over.”
She continued, “I’m telling you, this is the last time I’ll ever be onstage. The next time you see me, I’ll be the girl in the elevator, like, do you want to go see the Sleep No Less?”
Although she’s not enjoying her fame as far as how she’s being perceived in the public, Schumer has definitely lived it up with her new famous friends. As we all know one of the most coveted relationships in Hollywood right now is her friendship with The Hunger Games star Jennifer Lawrence. The two got along well and seem to have the same brash sense of humor, so much so that they have decided to write a comedy together.
In this comedy, they play sisters, with one who has her life together (Schumer) and the other will be a complete disaster (Lawrence). According to the Hunger Games actress, they have already written 150 pages together, and the whole thing seems to be an easy process because they’re open and honest with each other.
When she’s not writing new material with Jennifer Lawrence, then the two are having sleepovers with Aziz Ansari and Chris Pratt. The two have also danced on Billy Joel’s piano to “Uptown Girl” at a concert over the summer and have hung up on vacation together. Can you say friendship goals?
Schumer also recently attended a basketball game with Glee star Diana Agron, who she calls “an angel.” So while Schumer does see the downfall of fame, it seems like she’s at least getting a few perks out of it.
