Josh Duggar Faces $500K Fine For Allegedly Assaulting Mother Of Two

Reality star Josh Duggar, who is still in rehab, is now facing an even bigger problem.

Assault charges were filed against Duggar, 27, in a Philadelphia court on Tuesday, November 17. The complainant is Ashley Stamm-Northrup, who is an adult star that goes by the name, Danica Dillon.

The case states that Duggar allegedly assaulted Northrup during two occasions of consensual sex. As a result, the adult film star is asking for $500,000 for “emotional and physical suffering.”

The 19 Kids and Counting star reportedly first approached Dillon in March at a Philadelphia strip club, where he allegedly paid her $600 for lap dances whenever he came by to visit. However, Duggar wanted to take the physical contact a notch higher.

As mentioned in the documents, Duggar invited her to a hotel room, where he offered her $1,500 to have sex with him. Dillon said in the document that she agreed to the arrangement.

However, things started to get “frighteningly rough” when Dillon felt that she was being assaulted and “manhandled,” to a point where she even felt like she was being raped.

While Dillon said that Duggar apologized a month later, the consensual sex that continued remained rough and quite violent, to the point that she decided to seek reparation through legal means.

Northrup, 28, also known as Danica Dillon, is a married woman and has two kids. “We do not have a statement at this time,” said a representative for the Duggar family.

Aside from Dillon, Duggar reportedly has another mistress, whom he has hidden from the public. The woman said that she was scared when she thought she was pregnant. Dillon revealed in September via a lie detector test that she and Duggar engaged in “terrifying” rough sex. But at the time, the porn star did not reveal any plans of filing a case against Josh Duggar.

The assault case is just the latest of a long string of controversies that has haunted the Duggar family in the last few months. Back in August, Josh Duggar checked in to a rehab center in Rockford, Illinois after admitting that he cheated on his wife of six years, Anna Duggar. His name appeared in a huge hack done on infidelity website Ashley Madison, where millions of subscribers’ names were leaked.

Apart from that, Josh also reportedly abused five young women when he was 14 years old, two of whom were her sisters, Jill and Jessa. Their parents were said to be involved in the cover-up.

Since the revelation, the two sisters have openly said that they are willing to forgive their brother.

As a result of the controversies, the TLC TV reality show 19 Kids and Counting has been cancelled and replaced by a spin-off series, Jill & Jessa: Counting On, that will premiere next month.

However, the heat that the family is getting due to the scandals involving Josh Duggar could lead to TLC officially cutting its ties with the Duggars anytime soon.

Meanwhile, Anna Duggar is also facing trouble deciding whether she will stay with the Duggars or move permanently to her parents’ house in Florida. In a separate report, Jim Bob Duggar even offered her to move to a mansion near the Duggar compound on one condition – that she would not file for divorce from her husband.

Josh and Anna were married in September 2008, and have four children – Mackynzie Renee, Michael James, Marcus Anthony, and two-month-old Meredith.

Josh has long been the executive director of Family Research Council and was a two-term member of the Arkansas House or Representatives who had a firm stance on conservative politics.

However, the sexual allegations and controversies have caused Josh Duggar to resign from his FRC post.
