Little Darth Vader Boy Walking Around After Heart Surgery

Max Page, the little boy who played Darth Vader in last years Volkswagen Super Bowl Commercial is recovering quickly after undergoing open heart surgery last Thursday.

The 7-year-old “had a great night” according to mom Jennifer Page, while adding:

“This morning, he is able to get himself out of bed and walk around a little bit.”

Max is recovering at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles.

The young boy is not only recovering, he’s helping the hospital raise money so patients who can’t afford treatments at the children’s hospital can receive the help they need. If you would like to help young Max’s cause you can donate here.

Max gave a big “thumps up” when asked how he was feeling and said “I am happy.”

Dr. Sylvia Del Castillo said Max is “in very good condition” and taking blood pressure medicine for his heart. Doctors still have him in the intensive care unit as they monitor his progress.

Max not only appeared as young Darth Vader, he has had a regular recurring role on The Young and the Restless and Prime Suspects.

While Max is said to be doing well he is still hooked up to machines, the young boy says his big goals for the near future are sitting in a chair, walking and eating.

Max Page is now stranger to heart surgery, he has gone under the knife on several occasions. If all goes as planned Max’s surgery which replaced a pulmonary valve will be his last for at least 10 to 15 years. As a young adult a replacement surgery will be necessary.
