Amazon, Walmart, Target, Best Buy Compete For Black Friday & Thanksgiving 2015 Hot Sales: Hours & Best Deals

Whether you’re awed by Amazon, think Walmart is wonderful, tempted by Target, or bedazzled by Best Buy, Black Friday 2015 sales promise to have hot sales for everyone on your list. From laptops to TVs, Xbox bundles to iPads, discover the best deal for you.

One of the tricky aspects of comparing Black Friday technology deals is that Amazon is focused on discounting what it produces, points out the New York Daily News.

Walmart is concentrating in 2015 on TV hot sales, but Best Buy is daring to challenge the retail giant with its own television bargains as well as sales on Apple products. Check out Target if you want video game consoles or wearable products. Amazon, in contrast, emphasizes discounts for its own brand.

Target

Target TV deals include the Westinghouse 55-inch LED TV. It’s normally priced at $600, but the Black Friday price is just $250. Target also is offering the Samsung 55-Inch 4K TV that normally costs $1,199.99 for $797.99. If you’re seeking an iPad Air 2, you get a $150 gift card along with the discounted price of $499.

Looking for an Xbox or Playstation? Target has the discounted the normal $349.99 price to $299.99 for the Xbox One 500GB with Gears of War, accompanied by a $60 gift card. And if a PlayStation is on your list, the regular price of $349.99 is slashed to $299.99 for the PlayStation 4 500GB with Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection.

Best Buy

Compare those prices to Best Buy. The doorbuster Samsung deal for its 60-inch LED 4K Ultra HD TV is slashed from $1,500 to $800, or consider a Toshiba 55-inch LED TV, normally priced at $550, for $350.

Got an iPad Air 2 on your list? The doorbuster deal takes off $125. Compare the PlayStation 4 with Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection at Best Buy: It’s $299.99 versus the normal price of $349.99.

Amazon

Black Friday deals in general focus on the Kindle and the Fire lines. The regular price for the Kindle e-reader, for example, is $79.99, but the Black Friday price is $49.99. The normally priced $50 Fire TV stick is $25, and the typically priced $50 Fire Tablet is $35.

But that doesn’t mean you have to wait for Black Friday to see the variety of deals. Amazon has set up a section devoted to early deals with what the site is calling the Amazon Countdown Event.

Deals of the Day vary, such as a savings of up to 60 percent of selected PNY products.

Walmart

Black Friday deals at Walmart start on Thanksgiving Day at 6 p.m., according to the Tech Times.

And on the theory that easy works best, Walmart has changed its format of offering different hours for Black Friday sales to making all of the bargains yours whether you shop on Thanksgiving or Black Friday. Walmart opens the doors on Thanksgiving at 6 p.m., but many of the sales items can be purchased online.

The Roku has increasingly become hot, and the 32-inch 720p Roku TV by TCL regularly is priced at $279. But at Walmart, the Black Friday price is $125. Feel as if big is better? You can pay $348 for a 55-inch with a 1080p display. And if you’ve got a Roku SE streamer in mind, which is regularly priced at $50, it’s a deal at $25.

Thanksgiving And Black Friday Store Hours

All the “hot deals” lists in the world won’t help if you don’t know when to shop. As noted above, Walmart opens at 6 p.m. on turkey day, and Target also opens at 6 p.m. on Thanksgiving Day, according to the Christian Science Monitor.

If you just can’t wait to get started and have already gobbled the gobbler for Thanksgiving dinner, JCPenney is opening the doors at 3 p.m. on Thanksgiving Day. That beats their 2015 opening 5 p.m. hour and 2013 starting hour of 8 p.m.

Best Buy provides details on its retail store hours on its site. While the majority of Thanksgiving Day sales can be found on BestBuy.com, the brick-and-mortar stores typically are opening at 5 p.m. on Thursday, November 26. They will then turn off the lights, and shut the doors at 1:00 a.m. on Friday, November 27, before re-opening on the same day at 8 a.m.

However, some stores have alternative schedules.

Maine Best Buy stores throw open the doors at 12:01 a.m. on Friday, November 27.
Massachusetts and Rhode Island Best Buy stores start their sales at 1:00 a.m. on Friday, November 27.
The Paramus, New Jersey, Best Buy stores will throw open the doors at 5:00 p.m. and shut the doors at 11:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 26.
