Kandi Burruss’ Baby Shower: Attendees Include Phaedra Parks, Marlo Hampton, Demetria McKinney, Quad Webb-Lunceford, Jacqueline Walters, And Rasheeda Buckner-Frost

Kandi Burruss and Todd Tucker threw a big baby shower on Saturday night to celebrate the impending birth of their child. The baby shower was attended by many other reality TV stars, not only from The Real Housewives of Atlanta but also from Married to Medicine and Love & Hip Hop Atlanta.

Kandi posted one photo showing her Real Housewives co-stars Phaedra Parks and Marlo Hampton. On the current eighth season, which premiered last Sunday, Phaedra, and Kandi are once again starring housewives. Marlo is not a starring housewife, but has a recurring role on the show. She appeared on the premiere episode when she accompanied Sheree Whitfield to Cynthia Bailey’s eyewear launch party.

As previously reported by the Inquisitr, Marlo watched the premiere episode at a premiere viewing party with Kenya Moore. Kenya posted a video of herself and Marlo laughing about Kenya’s verbal altercation with Sheree over Chateau Sheree.

Kandi’s group photo also shows Quad Webb-Lunceford and Jacqueline Walters, stars of Bravo’s Married to Medicine, Rasheeda Buckner-Frost, star of VH1’s Love & Hip Hop Atlanta, Toya Wright, who starred on BET’s Tiny and Toya in 2009 and 2010, and Monyetta Shaw, who starred on VH1’s Atlanta Exes in 2014.

Another photo shows Kandi with Tameka ‘Tiny’ Harris. Kandi, Tiny, and Toya were all part of the 90s R&B group Xscape. Tiny later starred on Tiny and Toya with Toya.

Another photo that Kandi posted shows Demetria McKinney, who had a recurring role on The Real Housewives ofAtlanta‘s seventh season. As previously reported by the Inquisitr, Demetria may be showing up later on this season since a party that she and Kandi hosted to celebrate hew new single was filmed for the show.

Demetria likely avoided another one of Kandi’s guests. One photo shows that Kandi’s hairstylist friend Gocha was also there. On Season 7, Gocha, during Kandi’s dinner party, told Demetria that she was involved with Demetria’s long-time boyfriend, Roger Bobb. Gocha not only said that Roger cheated on Demetria, but also that he told her that Demetria was just a client of his. Demetria fled the room in tears. After the scene aired, Demetria tweeted that she and Roger were not together at the time he got together with Gocha.

Some of Kandi and Todd’s family and employees who appeared on their spin-off, Kandi’s Ski Trip, which aired over the summer, were also at the baby shower. One photo shows Kandi with Todd’s assistant, Matthew Parrish.

Matthew’s rival from Kandi’s Skip Trip, Kandi’s friend and assistant Carmon Cambrice, was also there. One photo shows Kandi with Carmon and two other friends from their middle school days.

Of course, Kandi Burruss’ mom, Mama Joyce, and her aunts and uncles, who were also featured on Kandi’s Ski Trip, were also at the baby shower to celebrate the impending new family member. Mama Joyce appeared with Kandi during her appearance on Andy Cohen’s talk show Watch What Happens Live after last Sunday’s The Real Housewives of Atlanta premiere. Mama Joyce will likely be seen in some future episodes this season since she plays such a central role in Kandi’s life and her drama with Todd Tucker, whom she initially didn’t approve of. The trailer for the season shows Todd joking that Mama Joyce will be their baby’s nanny.

The guests at Todd and Kandi’s baby shower were treated to a buffet of finger foods. A collage of photos of the spread shows that some of the offerings included macaroni and cheese, deviled eggs, bacon wrapped shrimp, fruit, cake, and lots of alcoholic drinks.

About two weeks ago, Kandi Burruss and Todd Tucker, who both have a teenage daughter from a previous relationship, announced the gender of their baby, who’s due sometime in late December or early January: a boy. Perhaps, after the baby’s arrival, Kandi and Todd will star on another The Real Housewives of Atlanta spin-off, this time focusing on them raising their child together?
