Robert Pattinson and FKA Twigs may be planning for their upcoming wedding, but is Pattinson heating up dating rumors with singer Katy Perry?
According to a new tabloid report, Robert Pattinson and Katy Perry are “growing close again” after hanging out together alongside Robert Pattinson’s fiancée, FKA Twigs, during the 8th Annual GO Campaign Gala earlier this week.
An alleged source close to Robert Pattinson explains the Twilight actor “never seemed happier” while he was “hooking up” with Katy Perry before beginning his romance to FKA Twigs in 2014.
Despite the rumors, Gossip Cop has reached out to an authentic source close to Robert Pattinson who insists that whoever brought up the dating rumors between Pattinson and Perry “is lying.”
The source further dismisses claims that suggest Robert Pattinson is experiencing regret over proposing to FKA Twigs earlier this year and further slams rumors that Pattinson and Perry were “hooking up” in the past.
Katy Perry previously addressed the false dating claims between herself and Pattinson in an interview with Elle UK in 2013, telling the publication that she actually texted Robert Pattinson’s ex-girlfriend, Kristen Stewart, to insist that she and Pattinson were nothing more than close friends.
“I sent her [Stewart] a text message saying: ‘I know you’ve seen all this stuff but you know I would never disrespect you,'” Perry admits of her text message to Kristen, “I’m just trying to be a friend to him but it is unfortunate that I do have a set of t***.”
Perry and Pattinson sparked romance rumors while Katy Perry was on a break from on-again, off-again beau John Mayer and Pattinson had recently split from Kristen Stewart.
Katy Perry and Robert Pattinson were spotted attending several concerts together during the summer of 2013 and even crashed a wedding together, prompting relationship claims to plague the duo’s friendship.
Despite the romance rumors stemming from Robert Pattinson, Katy Perry and FKA Twigs’ hangout during the GO Campaign Gala in Beverly Hills on Thursday, Us Weekly reports that Pattinson only had eyes for his fiancée during the star-studded event.
Similarly, the source said that Pattinson was “transfixed” on FKA Twigs while the songstress performed an acoustic set for the event.
While Robert Pattinson, Twigs, and Perry all snapped a few photos together during the gala, sources further insist that there was no romantic connection between Rob and Katy at the gala.
The news comes on the heels of reports that suggest Robert Pattinson and FKA Twigs are doing “just fine” despite the weekly breakup rumors plaguing their relationship.
A source close to Pattinson and Twigs reveals to E! News that Rob and FKA are still eager to get married despite putting their wedding plans on hold due to scheduling conflicts.
“They haven’t drifted apart [despite claims], but they haven’t spoken as much lately because of [Rob’s] filming schedule,” the insider explains, noting that Rob has been busy filming for The Lost City of Z for the past few months.
The source concludes by explaining that while, “fall plans turned into winter plans and no there are no specific plans” for their wedding, Rob and FKA Twigs still plan on getting married in the future.
