Prince William And Kate Middleton To Visit India As Duchess Intends To Spend More Quality Time With Husband

For the first time, Prince William and Kate Middleton will tour India in the spring of 2016. A statement from Kensington Palace confirmed that the royal couple is set to follow the footsteps of Prince Charles and the late Princess Diana who visited the country 24 years earlier.

“Their Royal Highnesses The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge will visit India in the spring of 2016. The visit is being undertaken at the request of Her Majesty’s Government and will be the first time The Duke and Duchess have visited the country. Full details will be confirmed early next year.”

Prince Charles previously made several trips to India. His first visit in 1980 made headlines because Bollywood actress Padmini Kolapure welcomed the then-single prince with a kiss. He nonetheless vowed to return accompanied by the woman he loved.

Twelve years later, he fulfilled that vow when the late Princess of Wales came with him. There were no photographs of them together because Prince Charles had to attend a business leaders’ forum in Bangalore. His most recent visit to India was in November 2013 when he brought wife Camilla, the Duches of Cornwall, for a nine-day tour.

Royal supporters hope Prince William and Kate Middleton’s visit to India will show more unity because the late Princess Diana was often pictured alone during her trip with Prince Charles. Her infamous solo picture in front of Taj Mahal was rumored to indicate cracks in her marriage.

Prince William and Kate Middleton’s India trip is still in its early stages of planning. The places that they will visit in the country are yet to be decided. While the trip will entail rigorous planning, none of the preparations will be allotted for the couple’s children, Prince George, two, and Princess Charlotte, six months.

The royal tots won’t come with their parents because Prince William and Kate Middleton reportedly think that the tour might be exhausting for the children. According to Mail Online, they will instead stay with their maternal grandparents, Michael and Carole Middleton, as well as their nanny, Maria Borallo.

Last year, Prince George had the chance to come with his parents when they carried out royal duties in Australia and New Zealand. This time, Prince William and Kate Middleton might simply be overprotective of their daughter. Furthermore, the mother-of-two might be determined to spend as much time as possible with her husband.

Daily Mail reports that Prince William and Kate Middleton appear to have rekindled their romance when they recently visited Dundee to take part in a seminar concerning young people with mental health issues. The town is near St. Andrews, the university where the couple first found love.

Following their trip, the Duchess reportedly realized her need to have more quality time with her other half. She allegedly opened up about her yearning to the Queen, and although she agreed to give the couple time alone, she said that her grandson must complete his duties first.

The couple’s marriage was recently rocked by an alleged cheating scandal. Several tabloids insisted that the Duchess was worried her husband would reunite with former flame Isabella Calthorpe. Her paranoia allegedly came from Prince Harry’s reconciliation with Cressida Bonas, Isabella’s half-sister. The Duchess was reportedly troubled that Isabella might re-enter Prince William’s life.

However, it must be remembered that like Prince William, Isabella is married. Her husband is Sam Branson, the son of media mogul Richard Branson. She is also enjoying her new life as a mom after giving birth to daughter Eva-Deia Branson last February.
