Charles Tillman Of The Chicago Bears Helps Little Girl With Homework, Scolds Teacher For Pro-Packers Question

How many times will the Green Bay Packers beat the Chicago Bears during the 2012-13 season. According to Charles “Peanut” Tillman, a cornerback for the Bears, the correct answer is 0 times.

Tillman was at a charity event for his Cornerstone Foundation in the Chicago suburbs when the owner’s daughter approached him for an autograph. The teenage girl asked the NFL player if she could sign a piece of homework that she had gotten from her teacher.

John Amrein, the teacher of Round Lake Middle School, which is in Illinois, asked his students:

“The Packers play the Bears 4 times in two seasons. The Packers, being a much better team, have an 80% chance of winning each game. What is the probability that the Bears win all four games? What is the probability that the Bears win at least one game?

Round Lake Middle School is in northern Illinois, a mere 60 miles from Soldiers Field. The school is approximately 180 miles from Lambo. Tillman was a little upset that Amrein was promoting a pro-Packers agenda to his impressionable students.

Tillman wrote on the little girl’s homework.

Mr. Amrein,

This is Charles “Peanut” Tillman of the Chicago Bears and I’m shocked that you would have a problem like this for your students. The probability that the Bears would win in my opinion is 100%. Please do not and I repeat DO NOT send them home with math homework that is disrespectful to our team, city and our beloved Chicago Bears.

The Green Bay Packers won the Super Bowl in 2010. They’ve also beaten the bears in seven of their last 10 meetings. But an 80% chance of winning each game…? Shame on you Mr. Amrein.
