Melissa Gorga In Jeopardy With Bravo Contract: Worried About Storyline?

Melissa Gorga has been trying to find a new direction in her life after wrapping up The Real Housewives of New Jersey about a year ago. Melissa had been filming the show up until the time Teresa was sentenced, and she was focused on her family. Since Teresa has been in jail, Melissa has focused on her family, and trying to get some time to visit Giudice behind bars. Unfortunately, Teresa isn’t putting Melissa on the visitor’s list.

Melissa Gorga was one of the cast members of The Real Housewives of New Jersey who may have been secured a spot thanks to her relationship to Teresa Giudice. However, Bravo may be concerned about her individual storyline. Teresa will surely have a storyline as she tries to get ready for her husband’s departure to serve his time, and seeing her daughters again. But Gorga’s storyline could be questionable.

According to a new Radar Online report, Melissa Gorga could possibly be in the chopping block given that nothing is really happening in her life. Supposedly, producers have told her to come up with something exciting if she wants to stay on the show.

“Bravo warned Melissa that she is very boring and has no storyline,” an insider has revealed, adding, “She doesn’t fight with Joe, and the music career thing didn’t work out. She really has nothing else going on.”

Right now, Gorga has decided to start a business, and it is possible that this could be her major storyline. The question is whether fans will think that is interesting enough. Melissa Gorga wouldn’t be the first housewife to start a store, and fans may be tired of being marketed to all the time. With Bethenny Frankel’s Skinnygirl business, Sonja Morgan’s lifestyle brand, and the countless books in the Real Housewives franchise, it can really become too much for viewers.

“That’s why she is opening up the store, so that’s her storyline,” the source explains, adding that former “friend of the Housewives” Kim DePaola has been talking to producers about filming once again, which could add drama for Melissa Gorga, as she was the one who started the entire stripper storyline.

“Melissa asked for Kim’s help and wants her to come to the opening. She’s kissing Kim’s butt,” the source reveals, adding, “Melissa told Kim it wouldn’t be competing because her store is in a different town from Kim’s store. But one of the storylines is going be Melissa’s store against Kim’s store.”

It is very interesting if this is really the case, as Kim could easily fight back, claiming that Melissa used to her to start a competitor store to her own. Melissa hasn’t really talked about what her store is really about. She has dabbled in fashion a bit, but she hasn’t revealed whether it is specific labels, or just things she likes she will sell.

But Gorga’s relationship with Teresa Giudice is still up in the air. According to Christian Today, she still can’t go see Teresa in jail. Teresa is scheduled to be released on December 23 for home confinement and will serve the remainder of her sentence at home. It is possible Melissa will go see her during the holidays. Sources do hint that Teresa will start filming The Real Housewives of New Jersey as soon as she is released. It will be interesting to see if Bravo will force Melissa and Teresa together and if they will film for the upcoming show.
