Carrie Underwood Makes Chart Topping History With ‘Storyteller’


Carrie Underwood has released her newest album, Storyteller, with a history making chart topping occasion. With the beautiful singer’s new album debuting in the No. 1 spot on the Billboard Country Album chart, she has achieved a momentous task. Storyteller makes Carrie the first star in the 51-year history of the chart to release their first six albums in the top No. 1 spot.

As detailed in an ABC News report, Underwood’s newest album, released on October 23, includes the already top-five country hit, “Smoke Break.” Also significant is that Storyteller has made it to the No. 2 spot on the Billboard 200 chart. According to Billboard, Nielsen Music shows the country singer’s Storyteller album having had 164,000 in pure sales for the week ending October 29, in addition to 177,000 equivalent-album units.

Embarking on a tour to promote Storyteller, Carrie tweeted, “Looking forward to seeing you all out on The Storyteller Tour!” along with a sultry close up photo hugging a retro microphone.

Carrie Underwood is holding on to her fame achieving talent, proving her more than just another mere American Idol winner. Beginning in 2005 with Some Hearts, all of Carrie’s albums opened at the top of the chart. Billboard states how Storyteller has brought Underwood alongside Dolly Parton to tie in third place for Top Country Albums female artists. The beauty now stands in the charts among greats like Reba McEntire and Loretta Lynn. The singer has not only established her talent as an amazing songstress, she also has proven to be a fun co-host for the Country Music Awards on TV.

On November 4, Underwood joined Brad Paisley on stage for their 8th year of CMA co-hosting duties since they started hosting the award show together in 2008. The two friends seemingly have a great time together. This year the show opened with a fun parody tribute to the Star Wars franchise, and a lampooning of songs.

Carrie Underwood took a hit from Paisley regarding recent stories about her beautiful body. Carrie has proven her immense talent and notoriety in the world of country music winning 11 Academy of Country Music Awards and five Country Music Association Awards, as well as being inducted into the Grand Ole Opry for her country music success. Underwood has also been inducted into the Oklahoma Music Hall of Fame. Her songwriting abilities have also been recognized with Carrie winning ten BMI Awards and a Golden Globe nomination.

Expanding her horizons beyond song writing and singing, Carrie made a film debut as Sarah Hill in the movie Soul Surfer in 2011. In 2013, she starred as Maria in the live TV broadcast of the play, The Sound of Music.
