Jessa Seewald Says New Baby Doesn’t Have A Name Five Days After Birth, Duggar Fans Continue To Wait

There seems to be a good reason that Ben and Jessa Seewald have not announced the name of their new bundle of joy to waiting Duggar fans. The pair say they have not named the 5-day-old baby yet. Jessa confirmed to fans on her social media accounts that the couple is still trying to decide on the perfect name, and will announce once they settle on one. Grandma Guinn Seewald also confirmed that the baby remains nameless by noting that she simply calls him “dearheart.”

Jessa Seewald posted some song lyrics to her personal Facebook page about new baby Seewald. Duggar fans quickly began asking the new mother questions about the baby, with many wanting to know why the family is taking so long to release information on the child’s name. Jessa quickly responded that they were “undecided” on a name, and would announce as soon as they settled on one.

“Haha! We’ll be announcing as soon as we settle on a name! Still haven’t decided!”

In addition to Jessa’s announcement that the baby was still nameless, Guinn Seewald also confirmed to her followers that her new grandson was nameless. Guinn responded to a number of questions on her facebook page about the new baby including birth weight and health. However, there was one question that Guinn couldn’t answer. A number of people asked her the new baby’s name, and she responded that Jess and Ben have not decided on a name yet. Instead, Guinn called baby Seewald “dearheart” and notes he will have a name in due time.

“We are still waiting on a name for dearheart.”

In addition to answering questions about the new grandbaby, Guinn also shared a photo of the baby shortly after birth. She notes that it will be one of the most memorable moments of her life and that she was filled with joy when she first saw the beautiful baby.

With baby Seewald still nameless, Duggar fans are soaking up all of the new details being provided of the latest Duggar grandchild’s birth. Though baby Seewald is doing great, the birth was not without issues. In fact, a 911 was made by Michelle Duggar on the night of the birth, noting that Jessa was “bleeding heavily” and that she needed evaluation from a medical team. The new mother was rushed to the hospital in an ambulance, but appears to be feeling better now. Jessa made her first social media post last night since the birth, indicating that she is enjoying time as a new mother.

“How sweet to hold a newborn baby,
And feel the pride and joy he gives;
But greater still the calm assurance:
This child can face uncertain days because He Lives!”

Though an official name for baby Seewald is still up in the air, one thing has been revealed by the new family. Prior to the birth, Jessa and Ben said that they would not be continuing the Duggar tradition of selecting a letter theme for their family. Instead they noted that they would likely choose another theme such as family names or Christian heroes. Jill Dillard, another Duggar daughter, also opted out of choosing a letter theme for her son. Instead, she went with the unique name of Israel.

What do you think Ben and Jessa Seewald will name their first child? Do you think the child will have a unique name, such as Jill Dillard’s decision to name her son Israel, or a more traditional name?
