Justin Bieber To Celebrate ‘Purpose’ Album Release With Staples Center Fan Event: Updated

Update: A second Justin Bieber Staples Center event has just been added, both on November 13. The first is still at 6 p.m. The second at 9.30 p.m.

Get excited Beliebers! Justin Bieber will be celebrating the release of his album Purpose on its release day, November 13.

On Monday, the Biebs announced via social media that he will be hosting “An Evening With Justin Bieber” at Los Angeles’ Staples Center this Friday to mark the arrival of Purpose. And it sounds like it’s going to be quite an event.

According to the promo, there will be guest appearances and a live Q&A with the “Sorry” superstar. A 45-minute dance film titled Purpose: The Movement will get a world premiere on the big night, which starts 6 p.m. PST. In addition, there will be “surprise moments” at the Center, which has a capacity of 18,000.

Tickets go on sale today at 10 a.m. PT (November 10). Fans can either buy a $18 ticket for just the Staples Center party itself, or pay $4 more to buy Purpose and attend the evening for only $22.

In other Justin Bieber news, the heartthrob and pal host Ellen DeGeneres kicked off #BieberWeek on the TV host’s popular show on Monday. During his interview, the singer revealed certain things remind him of his former girlfriend, Selena Gomez. He also (reluctantly) shared which three songs on Purpose were inspired by the actress-singer.

These were tropical house-pop smash “What Do You Mean?” the island-flavored “Sorry” (a bit), and “Mark My Words”. Justin also talked about the nude pics taken in Bora Bora by paparazzi without his consent or knowledge, played a quiz game with DeGeneres, and sang an acoustic burst of recent single “Sorry.”

Take at look at the videos below.

The Bieb also premiered two news releases from his album on Zane Lowe’s Beats 1 Radio yesterday. The previously teased “The Feeling” and “Love Yourself” were played during the show. The first is the Skrillex-helmed EDM-infused electro-pop duet with indie darling Halsey about the rush of love at the beginning of a relationship.

“Am I in love you / Or am I in love with the feeling?” Bieber and Halsey sing as they come together over the shimmering, optimistic chorus. Of the oft-illusory love, they note, “Trying to find the truth / Trying to find the truth / Sometimes the heart is deceiving.”

In contrast, the stripped down, guitar-baked (mostly) acoustic “Love Yourself” is a harshly comic kiss-off to an ex. It was written by British troubadour Ed Sheeran and Bieber, and co-produced by Sheeran and Benny Blanco.

“My mama don’t like you, and she likes everyone,” the Biebs sings on the pre-chorus. “And I don’t like to admit that I was wrong. And I’ve been so caught up in my job, didn’t see what’s going on, and now I know, I’m better sleeping on my own.”

“Cause if you like the way you look that much / Oh baby you should go and love yourself / And if you…think that I’m still holdin’ on to somethin’ / You should go and love yourself,” Bieber snarks, with Sheeran taking the higher octave on the chorus.

Other features on the pop prince’s album include rapper guests Big Sean, Travi$ Scott, Nas, the Jack Ü collab, “Where Are Ü Now,” and songstress Ariana Grande on the remix of “What Do You Mean?” which is only available if the album was pre-ordered.
