It’s a bouncing baby girl!
Sister Wives star Robyn Brown revealed her baby’s gender during Sunday night’s episode, surprising viewers with the announcement that she and her husband Kody Brown would be welcoming a little girl in a few short months.
During Sunday’s episode of Sister Wives, Kody and Robyn, who are members of a polygamist family (Kody is “spiritually married” to three other women), found out the sex of their baby during a routine ultrasound. Robyn was eager to find out if she would be having a boy or a girl, but he was a little more hesitant, and tried to delay the moment for a bit.
“I want you to tell me,” Robyn told the ultrasound technician. “We want to know today. Like, I’m about to die I want to know so bad.”

“Can you let us try and figure it out?” he asked, making viewers question whether or not the couple would actually find out the gender. “I want to try.”
Robyn and her husband announced they were expecting a child together in June. Kody already has one child with wife Meri Brown, six with wife Christine Brown, and three with wife Janelle Brown. Kody and Robyn have one child together, and her three children from her previous marriage.
“We are so happy to announce an eagerly expected new member of the Brown family,” the couple said in a statement to E! News at the time. After making their big announcement on their reality show Sister Wives,Kody took to Twitter to share the news with his fans.
Earlier this year, the Brown family announced that Kody would be legally divorcing his first wife, Meri, in order to legally marry his fourth wife, Robyn (Janelle and Christine have never been legally married to their “spiritual” husband).
According to Entertainment Tonight, the move was designed to allow Kody to adopt Robyn’s three other children — 15-year-old son Dayton, 13-year-old daughter Aurora, and 10-year-old daughter Breanna. The pair have one son together, 4-year-old son Solomon.
In a statement, the Browns said they made the decision to restructure the marriages “together as a family.”
“We have chosen to legally restructure our family,” their statement read. “We made this decision together as a family. We are grateful to our family, friends and fans for all their love and support.”

While the concept of a polygamist family is hard for most people to grasp, the Browns explain their unique lifestyle as something God wants them to do.
“We have chosen to live in a plural family for many different reasons, above all we have a testimony that this is what God wants us to do and it will make us better people,” a statement on their website reads. “Our faith is very important to us and it is intertwined into our daily lives.”
“We value family above all else,” the statement adds. “We try to spend as much time together as possible… We honor, respect and love everyone in our family. Our children should respect and be obedient to all the mothers in our family. The mothers should treat all the children fairly. The children are all brothers and sisters and should treat each other as such.”
