Cynthia Bailey Admits To Shocking Marital Problems: ‘We Have A Lot Of Real Issues’
Cynthia Bailey is back on The Real Housewives of Atlanta, and the season started off with a heavy topic: the infamous Instagram video where Peter Thomas got too close to another woman at his bar, Bar One. This is not the first time Thomas has been linked to another woman, but this video quickly went viral, and Bailey had to step out and issue a statement about the incident.
In the statement, Cynthia Bailey revealed that she and Peter were doing just fine, but behind closed doors, things were not necessarily all that great. Peter had previously been rumored to hook up with ladies from Bar One, so this video was not something she wanted to deal with. Last season, Porsha Stewart and Phaedra Parks hinted that Thomas was busy with women all over Atlanta and not paying attention to his wife. And this video showed him getting a bit too close to another woman.
According to a new E! News report, Cynthia Bailey is now trying to sort out her marital issues so she can move on with her life. One can imagine that Bailey doesn’t want to show her marital troubles on the small screen, but at the same time, she may want fans to see what went down in her home when that infamous footage surfaced of Peter and the other woman. Cynthia sat down with her sister Malorie, who asked her some vital questions about her marriage.

“Are you still in love with him,” Malorie asked her sister, who replied, “Yes, I am in love with him still.”
“But are you attracted to Peter,” Malorie continued, which has Bailey reply, “Yeah, I am attracted to him.”
But when Cynthia Bailey’s sister asks her if she is attracted to him with his clothes off, Cynthia simply replies, “No,” which has her following up with, “Physical attraction is important but I am more attracted to Peter’s mind.”
Of course, Thomas is a businessman, something Bailey has always adored. When they first started filming, he had troubles with his restaurant, Uptown. They ended up closing that business and launching Bar One. He later added Sports One in Charlotte and has also added his own coffee shop in Atlanta. He is clearly busy, but Cynthia admires this part of him. But sadly, they do have other problems than just this one incident.
According to People magazine, Cynthia Bailey admits that they have plenty of problems and that the video is just one problem in a series of many. Apparently, they have a hard time communicating with one another, which was clear on the previous season of The Real Housewives of Atlanta, as he had rented out a space in Atlanta for his coffee shop — without telling Bailey. This was featured on the final episode of the season.

“Peter and I we have a lot of real issues that we are dealing with. We have no real communication. We have distance issues now that he is spending more time in Charlotte. The video is just anther thing to put on the list,” Cynthia explained during the first episode of The Real Housewives of Atlanta.
Since the two are still married, it will be interesting to follow them on this current season of The Real Housewives of Atlanta as they work out their issues. But one thing is clear: Cynthia and Peter really do have to talk about things more, especially when it comes to money, business, and other women. Cynthia should have known what was happening before the footage came out on Instagram. Rather than handle this situation divided, they should have been united.
