One Direction Reveals Plans To Reunite After Hiatus, Liam Payne Says ‘It’s Not Over’ For 1D

One Direction may be plagued with rumors that suggest the group will permanently disband following their hiatus in 2016, but One Direction member Liam Payne is personally speaking out against the rumors by insisting that “it isn’t over” for the “Drag Me Down” group.

In a new interview with the Sun, via Gossip Cop, One Direction members Liam Payne, Harry Styles, Niall Horan, and Louis Tomlinson reveal their plans to “relax” and “catch up” on life following the release of One Direction’s fifth studio album, Made In The A.M.

When asked about the future of One Direction given the group’s impending hiatus, Liam Payne combats reports that suggest One Direction has no plans to get back together.

“It’s not over. And yes, we’re taking a break, but we need one.”

Liam Payne goes on to explain that while One Direction is exhausted from having released five albums in five years, the One Direction members “don’t want this to end” and will definitely “be coming back” in the future.

Louis Tomlinson and Harry Styles also reflect on how One Direction has changed prior to the release of Made In The A.M., namely how One Direction has grown despite losing fifth member Zayn Malik earlier this year.

Speaking on Malik’s departure, Tomlinson admits, “That was really, really hard. We knew it was coming, we saw a lot of signs in a lot of the gigs abroad. It was sad.”

While Zayn Malik’s departure sparked rumors of a permanent split for One Direction, Harry Styles admits that losing Zayn has actually made One Direction stronger.

“It made us really bond … It made us look at what we had and really know we wanted to keep it. Ultimately it just makes you closer.”

Despite rumors suggesting that One Direction’s members will embark on their own solo ventures during the group’s hiatus, Harry, Louis, Liam, and Niall admit they have some very different plans in store for One Direction’s first break in nearly five years.

Payne explains that he has plans to finally watch One Direction’s two concert films, This Is Us and Where We Are, while Styles ponders whether or not he should “watch those great shows that everyone else talks about and I’ve missed,” namely Mad Men and Breaking Bad.

Horan plans to go traveling and spend his time backpacking, while Tomlinson admits that he’ll be spending time with his child and serve as a judge on the U.K.’s X Factor.

News of One Direction’s plans to regroup following their brief hiatus comes on the heels of reports that suggest One Direction is feuding with one another just days ahead of Made In The A.M.‘s release.

Last week, rumors surfaced suggesting that Harry Styles and Louis Tomlinson are in the midst of a “bitter feud” that has been “central to everything” surrounding One Direction’s hiatus.

An alleged source close to the group spoke to the Sun, via the Mirror UK, telling the publication that everyone involved with One Direction as a group is “aware of the animosity between [Harry and Louis].”

“It’s been central to everything else that came next with the band because there was suddenly a massive divide.”

Despite the claims, Niall Horan seemingly dissed the Harry and Louis feud rumors on Twitter when he reassured a fan that One Direction “promises” to come back following their break.

“Yes. Don’t let the papers or online stuff tell you we’re not coming back. We are, I’m just going on a long holiday.”

One Direction recently wrapped their On The Road Again tour on Saturday, October 31, at Sheffield Arena in Britain.
